I left the stadium about five
Minutes ago. Still don’t understand why we called the 2nd timeout after the last score . I can only assume the CBS guys nearly fell down

Exactly should know we can't leave time on the clock when Bama has scored on every possession

I would love to think in his mind he was deciding to give that fat **** one chance to show he could stop a team from scoring with 1:00 on the clock and the turd failed. That epic failure combined with everything we’ve seen all year, plus giving up 52 in a game where you score 46, has to be the end of that idiot’s clown show here. Otherwise, Dan is a fool and I wouldn’t be surprised if he turned around and gave the moron an extension.

I'm proud of my Gators tonight.
Those little head movements from Bama's center (all were false starts); reminds me of that time when the center would raise their head to initiate a reaction from the defense and eventually the refs took charge of it. Still, no excuse to give up 52 points. Hey, Bama got away with some **** and it should probably be reviewed.
Gators played a great game but really needed a few things to go their way.
Still, I'm really proud of the effort tonight.

Very proud of the team. We played a team with the best coach in the game and possibly in history as well as better players overall. Alabama has crushed everyone they played.

It came down to an onside kick.

I never wanted Mullen. But I am not too proud to say he improved our program considerably. Tonight he called a great game. Not perfect....but great. Particularly on the one thing that frustrated many of you....running Trask.

On the other hand Grantham must go. The disorganization in lining up and the complete lack of tackling fundamentals is coaching. Neither require an ounce of talent. Just proper coaching. I’m a longtime basketball coach not a football coach. But I could fix both problems easily just through instruction and then holding players accountable. He’s got to go.

Play clock still runs, so he took a timeout to make sure everybody was on the same page. Dumb decision.
Yes, of course the play clock runs, but how Mullen could think that going for 2 (which you shouldn't need a TO for anyway) is more important than a timeout in that situation tells you he knows nothing about clock management.

This loss was on the D, but CDM left to much time on the clock on our last drive of the first half. And wasted a timeout at the end of the second half. That’s amateur hour shizzot. I am proud of Trask and the O not giving up and making a game of it.
This loss is squarely on Dan. He's the one that lets Fat Todd do the same crap every week and allows 3 & 13 to play. He called the drive killing QB runs and then botched clock management the whole game. He allowed Delance back in. The D is horrible, Dean should have held onto the ball, but Dan did enough on top of that to screw us by not being a head coach who does what is needed.

I was amazed at how many calls the refs made against Bama late in the game. The Bama players were looking like “wtf, that’s never been a penalty before!”

I can forgive Mullen for the 18 seconds he spotted Bama in the first half that resulted in 4 points and using the timeout to go for 2 point conversion if, and only if, I wake up in the morning and read that fat head todd has been fired.

As I said in the chat, it’s so odd because he’s actually handled clock management really well this year, particularly at the end of halves. I guess his logic was we’re not playing for a tie, and with our defense, I guess that has some merit. But it forced the onside kick instead of a traditional. Either way, we’re probably staring at Harris for 3 plays. With 2 TOs, we get the ball back at our own 30-40 with a minute or so left. But it would be just to tie things. I guess he wanted to win. It makes some sense and could’ve been genius, but I think you have to conventional thinking there. He overthought it, imo.

If you asked me to recap this game I wouldn't even know where to begin. What I keep thinking about is Dean's fumble after the interception early. The very next play was a Bama TD. Dean just hanging on to that damn ball could have been the difference in the game.

Emotions are still running high...... but I have to admit... I was wrong about how hard our guys would play tonight. After LSU I just gave up hope and figured we would get curb stomped tonight. Our guys came out and gave Bama a ball game..... We even had chances to win, that's more than I expected. Bottom line, Bama is just a better over-all team that we are but they are not unbeatable. I think a more balanced team than we are can beat them. As many others have said, "if we only has an average defense, we wouldn't have 3 loses and could have even won tonight. Woulda, shoulda, coulda............ Enough of TG, time to move on.....

Using the two timeouts at the end of the last drive is inexcusable. For obvious reasons. And thats why its so inexcusable. Because its so obvious my 77 year old mother was baffled.

Proud of the team, but doggone it I'm tired of just being proud of effort in a loss.

Agreed, but unfortunately the few botched calls by Mullen very well may have cost us the game. Trask, Toney, Pitts, and the Gator Nation deserve better than that. We can only hope he learns from his mistakes.
