Trask has to be in the driver's seat for the Heisman, right?

I don't like our fans trashing Kyle Trask, who has had a flat-out miracle of a college career. We should be licking his cleats - he's the only reason we even have a winning team.

He has EARNED the Heisman Trophy. It should not even be close.

Look, I even agree with you on Kyle winning the Heisman. But can we just not do anything with anyone else’s cleats for right now?

Not once did any announcer during the game mention that Trask is the leading passer in the country and broke the school record for passing TDs in a season.

Trask absolutely earned the Heisman this year, and if he doesn't win, then the school should put up a statue of him anyway.

Kid did what Jones did with half the Oline talent. If that. I say he earned it. Jones is an amazing QB too, but he's got a ridiculous supporting staff unlike Trask who basically has some skill players but is almost always throwing under pressure.

Playing behind a crap OL (thanks Dan and Hevesy) with zero run game and still put up video game numbers.

Miss me with the Bama guys who are surrounded by the best players at every position and have 10x the coaching staff.

Discuss.

Some d-bag on CBS said that Trask may not even be a finalist now. While I think that guy is a moron and he'll definitely be a finalist, I think his chances of winning are now too slim. The media has pretty much written him off because of the LSU loss last week. What a shame.

We watched Grossman get robbed of the Heisman, now the same will happen to Trask. Hope we don’t have to wait another 10 years for a talent like him.

We have to have been the most one-dimensional team to ever score 46 points in the SECCG. Which is why the Bama rush was able to tee off all night.

If the Heisman voters can’t see what Trask had to endure to put up those numbers, then to hell with them. He’s easily the best quarterback in the country. 43 touchdowns against five picks. That’s a season for the ages.

And Mac Jones got a breather by getting to play our defense. Had Trask got to play against our D we would have won by 3 tds.

Trask’s Heisman moment was this entire game. He had to do it all by himself with no run game and (at best) a below average OL. The fact that it was close should get him the Heisman. I feel bad for the kid. He deserves more.

The difference in talent level between what Trask is playing with and what Mac/Smith are playing with is huge. Trask deserves it even if his last play was a sack as time ran out on him. Mac had the luxury of handing the ball off to the best RB in the nation running behind the best Oline in the country.

Delance alone would've wrecked Mac's run at the heisman.

All of the Heisman tracking articles were written before today's games. But when I read them tonight, what kills me is that it isn't even Mac Jones, or Smith who were ahead of Trask. Its this:

Below are the top odds to bring home the 2020 Heisman Trophy as of Friday:

Player Odds
Mac Jones (QB, Alabama) -190
DeVonta Smith (WR, Alabama) +120
Kyle Trask (QB, Florida) +900
Trevor Lawrence (QB, Clemson) +2000
Ian Book (QB, Notre Dame) +4000
Justin Fields (QB, Ohio State) +4000

Stats are from before this weekend, so after Trask's low-point of the season.

Mac Jones, QB, Alabama
2020 stats: 217 of 284 passing (76.4 percent); 3,321 yards; 27 touchdowns, three interception

DeVonta Smith, WR, Alabama
2020 stats: 83 receptions for 1,327 receiving yards (16.0 yards per reception); 17 touchdowns from scrimmage (15 receiving, one rushing, one punt return)+

Kyle Trask, QB, Florida
2020 stats: 259 of 369 passing (70.2 percent); 3,717 yards; 39 touchdowns, five interceptions; two rushing touchdowns

Trevor Lawrence, QB, Clemson
2020 stats: 173 of 250 passing (69.2 percent); 2,431 yards; 20 touchdowns, three interceptions

Ian Book, QB, Notre Dame
2020 stats: 181 of 286 passing (63.3 percent); 2,381 yards; 15 touchdowns, two interceptions

Justin Fields, QB, Ohio State
2020 stats: 107 of 137 passing (78.1 percent); 1,407 yards; 15 touchdowns, three interceptions; 55 rushes, 239 yards, five touchdowns

Also, one site had Iowa St. RB Breece Hall on the list, but as a featured back, he has about the same rushing yardage as Smith has receiving.

I assume Fields and Book will be out after today. The Bama players probably got a bump, but so should Trask. Lawrence won, and had a good game, but he hasn't had nearly the season that Trask has had...not even the season that Jones has had.

It should go to Trask.

Even Tebow said during postgame that he had smith and Jones ahead of Trask. I don’t get it.

The best we can hope for is that they split enough votes to give Trask the edge.

Of all people, Tebow should know the award goes to the best player, not the best team. Tebow needs to remind people how he won in 2007. Those 2 Bammer players do not come close to Trask’s production this year even with better talent around them. It makes me angry to hear people slobber all over Bama while ignoring the stats. Mac Jones was a 4 or 5 star recruit with 5 star talent around him vs. Trasks’ 2 star rating. What a great story for high school football players. Heisman needs to go to Trask without a second thought.

Exactly. Tebow a bit disappointing here, he just doesn't want to come across as a Gator homer. He should be pointing all of that out while reminding people he won it with a 5-3 SEC record not even sniffing Atlanta.
