Why are they playing Bowl Games at all?

Covid...Players Opting Out...Few Fans...We still have Grantham.

The only good thing about New Year's Bowls...It will be 2021...Good Bye 2020

I think this matchup is ideal because we have become a Big12 Team.......... All offense and no defense!

I wonder if my Oklahoma girlfriend will be there? We went down to Miami a few days early for the 08 championship game. There was a young Oklahoma couple staying on the same floor. A couple of times in the elevator she lifted her skirt to show her Oklahoma panties......I tried to get Mrs51 to shave her bush and put one of those Gator face stickers in a convenient location and return the favor but she wouldn't do it.

This will probably not be popular, but I wish we declined this invitation.

We get almost no practice time to develop players for next year.

We need to travel that exposes our team to the virus more.

It is not logical to send us to Texas and TaM to Florida.

Sure it is a money thing but with few actual fans involved perhaps they might have seen reason if we insisted on not leaving the state.

We've had all year to develop players for next year. How would not playing and not practicing at all improve the situation?

We need to travel that exposes our team to the virus more.

The season's over. There are no more games. The best thing to happen would be to have all the players exposed to the virus and develop immunity.

It is not logical to send us to Texas and TaM to Florida.

One of the good things about bowl games is that teams get to play other teams they rarely or never meet during the regular season. Should we try to get into the Gator Bowl every year because it's nearby?

Most networks suck anyway...We should ALL Bowl money

We've played 9 SEC Games Straight
With Christmas break they'll have 4 or 5 practices
Several players are already opting out

WHY PLAY?

I'd have at least 30-40% EJ Packages
70% of my Defense would be Non-Starters
Might even play a few walk-ons

I guess I somehow thought the bowl season would be postponed a tad.

Three- four weeks of extra practice is one of the primary selling points. Even if we had fired Grantham Sat night/Sunday morning, there is no fixing the defense in 10 days.

You hit the nail on the head at the bottom. It's about bottom line. We need the bowl money and we have a football facility to build.

I personally would have liked to face off against Oregon. But a well OU it is. Pitts, Toney should opt out. Doubt Trask would opt out knowing his personality. I just hope EJ and AR get some major playing time.

I know what a great Gator Trask is and it wont hurt me one bit to see him shred up another defense but at this point I think it would be good to put EJ in for the whole game to see him get ready for next year.
