I am the life of the party wherever I go. People - hot babes, mostly - wait in line just to chat and take snaps with me. Women want me, and men want to be me. It is my curse.

But to the substance of this thread - I've reconsidered my post above. When I think of beautiful cities around the globe, Paris, Prague, Venice and Jacksonville come immediately to mind. So my bad there. When all is said and done, nothing says breathtaking beauty like 295 at rush hour or JTB strip malls.

And which franchise has sold out more games and won more championships since 1997 than Jacksonville? Reflexively, I'd have thought New England, but a after a little digging, it turns out that is fake news and that it is the Jags after all. In fact, I've read that several times over the past few years that construction crews have had to come in and fortify their trophy case out of fear it would collapse and hurt the 6 fans that bother to visit it.

You can end this by agreeing that J'ville is, at best, a marginal NFL city and that the Jags are right there with the Bucs, Lions, and pre-2020 Browns as league laughingstocks.

And this is Jacksonville the city's fault?

I was a season ticket holder from the inception until my sun went too college. Had my name on the wall for a brief time. The fans will support the Jags but it is very difficult with an owner who appears to not give a **** about fielding a competent football team and would rather continually have the specter of London hanging over all of the fans heads.

Now we have Lot J and Lamping playing hardball that the Jags are a free agent team. After this is a new stadium deal. All to line Con's pockets.

I don't have a dog in the fight, so I don't really care one way or the other about the city or its football team. Its apparently your city and team and you support them. I understand and respect that.

If I rank NFL cities, only two rank lower on my personal list than Jax and those have an asterisk. At the bottom for me would be Las Vegas. Having so many outlets for sports wagering nearby and given that the NFL is not populated by the brightest bulbs in the package, it is only a matter of time before some player genius gets caught up in some kind of point shaving scandal. Players manipulating results for betting purposes goes straight to the heart of the integrity of the game. So for me, Vegas would be a no go for a sports team based on legal sports wagering. The brothels aren't such a good idea around these guys, either, IMO. To me, Vegas and pro athletes are a dangerous combo and disqualify the city completely. Now maybe these guys today make so much money that they wouldn't be tempted to do shady things, but I doubt it. Why tempt fate?

The other city lower on the list is Green Bay. But they are a relic from like the 1920s, have a trophy case full of championships, a huge stable of legendary players, the most iconic coach in the league's history, a cathedral for a stadium and are crazy-well supported. As maybe the Notre Dame of the NFL, they are one of the small handful of franchises that make up true NFL royalty. But if you were looking to establish an expansion franchise in the mid-'90s, absent all that history, GB would not be on any list.

All of Jax's shortcomings could be erased by consistent playoff runs and a Lombardi trophy or two - but again, they've been right there among the league's laughingstocks.

So recent history suggests you guys will "Jag up" the first pick in the upcoming draft, or that Lawrence will have to learn to live on a steady diet of bangers and mash washed down with a room temp. ale.

I grew up in Tampa in ‘80’s and early 90’s, and was tortured by the creamsicle Orange Bucs. The Jags are exactly like that squad.

A relatively young team who has never really tasted success. However, when we found success on the field, every game was a sellout. There was a billboard on Dale Mabry that said the waiting list for season tickets was 25,000+ people long.

Jags fans are just like those Bucs fans: loyal but starving. Give them some good football, and the Jags can remove the tarps on the upper deck, and enjoy a string of sellouts.

He should just go ahead and sit out a year and finish his gender transformation.

The long suffering Jags fans deserve this, sure hope it happens! I, too, am skeptical though - they always seem to find a way to Jag things up.

Think if I were a GM I'd strongly consider Harris... Yeah a RB but catches like a receiver and a TE. If Trent Dilfer can win a SB any QB can (with a hellacious D)

TJ yeldon, bama rb; then they tried Fournette, LSU rb

They need a QB like Brunell to bring them back

Could've been worse, Jax could've picked a Ryan Leaf

Lol, I remember him, was it San Diego or some other Cali team that took him?

Anyway, Jags fans need a reason to buy in. I think Lawrence is a great fit, he's from Georgia and Jax is basically S Georgia. They will have an all new front office and hopefully the owner does not listen to the last person who advised him on the current hires (think it was his son?)

Tony needs to go play with his analytics and keep the results to himself.
