Shut up, dwarf.

Oh please, if you're going to relentlessly bash a UF player who did nothing to deserve your ridicule other than being the proxy for your hatred of a coach, you're gonna have to take your punishment like man... for the rest of your existence. Own it. Or do you lack the mental fortitude? If not, maybe you should temper your comments from now on.

I don’t know what the contract value is between a first and second round pick. But if it is big enough, he may elect to come back another year.

Its a huge difference from mid-second to mid-first. Per this article - 2020 NFL Rookie Salary - the average guaranteed contract (4 years) is as follows:

1st Round – $16,939,370
2nd Round – $3,786853
3rd Round – $946,211

I'd love to have one more year with Trask. However, I wonder how it would affect our QB room longterm? Plus, I think he should get an NFL contract while he's healthy.

there's A LOT of money on the table between first round and second.

I really like the idea of much less Dan Mullen offense and much more forward pass. Trash is the only kid since 2005 that's forced him to do it.

If I got mid second round money, I could ride the bench for a year and retire. Big difference between 1st and 2nd, but it ain't minimum wage.

Still calling him "Trash" after a strong Heisman run? Stay classy, donk.

Im not sure 2nd round is guaranteed. Pretty sure lower rounds are not.

Mullen does NOT want this guy back. Expect him to do whatever he can to encourage his exit. I’m not joking, Mullen is ready to move on to his offense.

Trask is a better QB prospect than all but Lawrence and Wilson. The fact people have Trey Lance and Mac Jones ahead of him is laughable. Go ahead and add Dwayne Haskins 2.0 (aka Justin Fields) to the list.

I hope Trask goes to the draft and is scooped by a competent franchise like the Steelers or Patriots, and he kills it.

The Mitch Trubisky experiment is still very much on the minds of NFL teams. The Bears traded up one spot to #2 overall to take a guy with only 13 collegiate starts, looking past Patrick Mahomes and Deshaun Watson in the process. Trubisky, with lots of physical skills, regressed after a solid second season. He still struggles to read NFL coverages in his fourth year in the league.

Hence one of the reasons why I think Trask needs another year to move up to the first round — his relative lack of experience. Teams are wary of being next to make that kind of mistake.

As always, you weigh the risk with the return.

The problem is that there are six QBs slated to go in the first round. This is considered one of the deepest QB drafts ever.

And out of the six that are slated to go in the first round, Trask is ranked 6th.

The top 4 QBs are locked in. The 5th spot is between Jones and Trask. Jones is the wildcard as his evaluations are anywhere from end of the first to the middle rounds. Trask's evaluations are all the same. He is a 2nd round pick. Personally, I'd take Trask over the one year wonder (Lance) and Larry Lock-on (Fields). I have never, ever seen Fields throw a guy open. He throws to open guys. Trask consistently threw guys open. Outside of Dude-Lady, Trask is the second best pocket passer in the draft. His physical limitations are what is keeping him from going higher.

He’s not very mobile.

It would be better for him to be a mid 1st round pick. Teams with high draft picks tend to have massive issues in the trenches. He’s not very mobile and would not be very successful in that environment IMO.

Considering where he came from Trask being picked even in the 2nd is a miracle. I highly doubt he will be back. Time for an EJ/AR15 battle.

He would do well with the Patriots. They had a statue playing QB for 19 years, why not go get Trask?
