So you are amazed that Mullen took a team that was talented enough for 10 wins and got those wins. The real feat was how spectularly bad McElwain was that he could take a 10 win team and make them underpreform so badly.

I was on a plane going from the west coast back to Florida. Airplane mode about 1 minute before kickoff and off airplane mode about 5 minutes after is was over.

I cant tell you how happy I am that I missed the game.

And it was hilariously awesome to immediately checkin and read the reactions without the slightest bit of warning:lol:

There shouldn't be an issue with losing this meaningless game, but I do find it funny that the people who were saying how important the Citrus bowl win against a depleted Michigan squad in 2018, but the game doesn't matter because we were depleted. Neither matter. The only thing that matters is how ridiculous the head coach sounded after the game with excuse after excuse. It's an embarrassment.

Correct...But if you DON'T watch why are you on here? I was told if you don't watch meaningless Bowl Games then you can't love college football or you are not a Gator.

Why would a Florida fan not attempt to watch the game? Family conflict, work maybe? I couldn't make it all the way through, but I tried?

If that postulation is valid, I must be a half-assed fan at best. I half-assed watched that half-assed excuse for a half-assed bowl game. Hell, I gave up on Mike White and the BB program two years ago, but switched over and watched them hammer a terrible Vandy team in Nashville, primarily because I couldn't get to sleep. You know DM is in deep schytt when he sucks so badly that MW starts to look good in comparison.

I was never a fan of the hire, but through the UGA game this year I thought he had outperformed what I expected and I'll admit that as I watched Trask piling up numbers, I was starting to drink the Mullen Kool-Aid. The Mizz-who game was where the wheels started coming off for me, his halftime behavior, bizarre postgame antics with the Darth Vader get-up, it all just struck me as really childish, immature, and something no coach of a championship team is going to be out doing. The LSU game is where I knew that this experiment was over. Oh yes, unfortunately it will drag on for at least another year (or more), but the Mullen era peaked on 11/7. My takeaway last night was just being utterly shocked seeing how awful "his guys" look, and I thought Hee Haw was a bad recruiter. Man oh man, next year is going to be rough.

Just more wandering in the wilderness.

My daughter is in med school training to be a psycho-shrink. I gave her a project to do a full report on what's going on between Danny's ears

Being an alleged, cough, offensive tactician (nerd) is far different from managing personnel and holding everyone on task and accountable. Is he feuding with the Fuchs, did Florida break another coach, did the pregame antics break him, does he still have the RV? So many questions.

over his head is he...

I didn't know this but apparently our squad was late coming out of the locker room to start the 2nd half and didn't get to warm up and had to go straight to covering the kick.

Thanks, @cover2. Absolutely disgusting performance.

I understand the mentality about avoiding injury when the nfl draft is in play and the CFP isn't, but it still hurts to watch a class act like Trask get abandoned by his top 3 targets.

Of course, granthem is still granthem no matter who is on Offense. I dread the thought of another year with him around, especially while we likely take a big step back in offensive production. 2021 could be a miserable year.

In general, the entire team with few exceptions looked like they wanted to be anywhere but there.

I'm really not happy with the laundry list of red flags popping up with the coaching and leadership issues. The lack of accountability is absurd.

The biggest bright spot was Richardson's 4th qtr drive. Hoping he turns out to be the real deal, but also wondering if EJ has what it takes.

Go Gators, I guess...

We had three cotton bowl practices, how many did Oklahoma have?

Another tell tale sign for me about Mullen’s incompetence are the excuses he made after last night’s game. He said Oklahoma had an unfair advantage because they’ve played in this stadium before. He said this gave them a higher level of comfort being in a familiar environment. He also said the prior experience playing here gave the Sooner players knowledge about how the lighting impacted visibility, they knew where the small holes were in the field and they knew where the dead spots were in the turf that affected the football bounce on punts & kicks.

He then griped about this being a home game for the Sooners and it wasn’t fair that they had more crowd noise in their favor.

What a loser.
