Mullen's best accomplishment is losing to Saban twice within a touchdown. Not even the Jets would hire a college coach on a three-game losing streak.

So, Dan would fire two coaches and then leave? I don’t know what’s worse, the rumor or people spreading it.

This is interesting insofar as the worlds of Mullen and Dak Prescott are concerned and what it might take for them to collide.

Prescott and the Cowboys have made two attempts to negotiate a long-term deal. No go. The team signed him to a $31.4m franchise tag ahead of the 2020 season. There’s still no deal. Dallas can slap the tag on him again. Some people think they’ll pass and draft a quarterback.

If they pass, and if Mullen is available ... nah, that won’t happen.

Fields isn’t big enough. He needs a 240lb + quarterback.

Scam Newton will be available. Imagine the thought of Cousin Eddie being able to call unlimited QB runs. 100K at Cowbell was not enough to lure Scam to Cowbell, But the Johnson family can buy Cowbell with the money in their petty cash bin, so they would have enough to entice Scam for Cousin Eddie :lmao2:

The Mullen Nightmare coming to an end? It appears that way. He served his purpose to get us back to the top 10 and competing for the SEC. Now is the next coaches job next season to take that next step to get us to the top 5

Serious, non-trolling question: If the Jets thing is for real, who should we replace him with? Who's that guy to get us to the next level? Do we grab Hugh Freeze? Try for Venables (though I'd rather have an offensive guy)? Do we see what Brian Johnson can do? I doubt Meyer is coming back.

We'd have the best opening of the off season, so probably pick of the litter, but I'm not sure who the best option is this cycle.

I'm not sure we are looked at as a top 5 job anymore.....

Brian Johnson as interim.
