Thanks for the explanation. One small aside...

Oh they knew when Stiner was assigned the guy in the slot. Instant TD.
Well it could have actually been a cover 4, meaning Miller was covering that zone. Instant TD.

Still waiting for the possibility that Grantham will be sent packing. I also wondered too with Gray and English leaving that the secondary (Supposed DBU) sucked azz so bad this year, could it have been just as bad last year. Only thing is that how much of it was covered up by the fierce play Grenard and Zuniga? We had no rush this year like we did last year.

Grantham is a hopeless waste of millions that did not have one single section of his D performing at even a minimum acceptable standard this year. D-line, D-ends, linebackers, corners, safety - ALL were laughingstock performances every single game. For fundamentals; Tackling, Shedding blocks, Tackling, Lining up correctly, Tackling, Knowing your assignment, Tackling, Executing your assignment to a minimal acceptable standard. A good high school D would have been more effective. They would have at least been in the same time zone as opposing receivers.

Nobody can be THAT bad of a coach. We had some talent out there that could have coached themselves to a much better season if they had just tied up Fat Todd and left him in the locker room.

It was almost like Grantham's plan from the beginning was to throw ballgames by eliminating his own defensive team. And Mullen, who is now a cartoon character, wants to KEEP HIM.

Mullen doing everything he can to keep the upside-down year of 2020 going by saving his biggest fckup of all for New Years 2021. The only consolation is that both of these nincompoops will be out of Gainesville within 24 months.

Once Campbell came back, the dline showed significant improvement, mainly because guys started playing back in their (kinda)natural position, but they still weren’t great by any stretch.

The improvement on D-line with Campbell back in brought us up from "demolished at the snap" to merely "bad". We never stopped a running team all year, or a passing team... hell, any good offense had its way with Todd's underperformers. Was it talent, coaching scheme, or both? Probably both. But we were clearly outclassed by everybody with a pulse - even winless Vandy rode us hard. It was Grantham's and ultimately Mullen's job to stop the bleeding on D by at least trying to make a fight of it. Grantham's constant Prevent-style max-cushion soft coverages that didn't even challenge for the ball all year long was pure incompetence on display for all opposing coaches to see. Even TV announcers commented on how soft we were every game I watched.

I do enjoy the comments online that it was Gray and English...lol.... if they were that bad, and under investigation, they should have been fired long ago. Still on Spaz and Snotz

Well said.

Even Tennessee would have beat us if they brought in that qb a bit earlier. He came in during the 4th quarter and promptly laid two touchdowns on us. This team was nowhere close to the elite team they want to believe they were. Too much time sniffing their own farts.

Ya'll covered a lot and agree, but this Covid year can't be seen as normal. I'm fully aware of all the things that sucked, but with the kids getting a mulligan year, I wonder if admin/Mullen finds it difficult to hold folks completely accountable. It's a built in excuse/reason, especially when they say...hey, we beat UGA and went to the SECCG and NY6 and yada, yada, yada...

Campbell wasnt back the week after ATM when Mullen forced Fat Ass to move Bogle out of DT. Most of what was wrong with the dedense was simply Fat Toad think DTs are 220 pounds.

I forget who he played that week, maybe the old TE and a couple of freshmen real DLs.
