my understanding is that it was multiple instances of academic fraud.
in other words.... was a football player.

Also, while we were typing these things, we just lost another player from the class, the highest ranked offensive player. Fails to qualify and is going to BLM D3 school. We didn't take a commitment from him so he didn't burn a seat in the class this time.

I guess you can teach dumb dwags new tricks.

Having another student show up in his place for a test with a fact student ID was one of the instances that I recall.
The story on the paper wasn't simple plagiarism or having someone else do his work. He was way too lazy for that. He was in a class where the final was a paper and as they were being handed in he simply took one off the pile, crossed out the authors name and put his on it. When the author got an incomplete and went to the professor it took about 30 seconds to figure out what had happened. This is just a guess, but I'm thinking Cam probably isn't related to Isaac.

Academic standards should not apply at all to scholarship athletes, period, in any sport or any college. If they are good enough to offer, you take them and it doesn't even matter if they are illiterate.

The inane content you have to read through just to find out if we've fired Mullen yet. Somebody should report this to the mods or the site owner.

I know you guys are ate up about Gator football but get real. The UF President is the de factor president of the UAA, otherwise the NCAA would not accept us into the fold. The purpose of college athletics is to prepare student athletes for leadership in the real world not prepare illiterates for pro careers. I am in favor of having no special qualifiers at all. Recruiting should be from the pool of students that have been accepted to the University and those admissions should be checked by an independent committee. Parity would ensue and Bama could go pound sand.

Agreed. If you want a semi pro league, go form one.

If Mullen is fired or quits it will be a headline and I guarantee no one will have to read through any “inane content to get the gist of it.

Give football players a certificate in football with the option of getting a degree if they want to go the degree route. But if they opt for the degree make them earn it just like any other snot nosed kid who posts woke stuff on social media with the signature “Hashtag Humility”.

Like, enough to build a stadium. EVERY YEAR.
The second sentence is what I was referring to, that the UAA gives a lg portion of money to the school every year. Enough to build a stadium every year? Where the hell did you see that in the post about LSU?

OK. Let me try it again. I meant facility, not stadium, but Im under the influence of pseudofed.

UAA gives UF enough money (40-50 mil) to buy a new football facility EVERY YEAR.

And where are you getting that some other athletic assoc. at another SEC school is giving 40-50 million a year? I didn't read every post here so I may have missed that. My wife worked at UAA for several years while I was in school and it was significant, don't' know about 40-50 mill.

You’re out of your gourd. UAA gave $24.77m to UF and the UF Foundation in budget year 2016 but the figure hasn’t been anywhere close since. Debt service for one has helped ensure that.
