Kid had the Yips this year. Whoever advises a kicker to leave early is a moron.

There ought to be a reasonable age cap on all the MILFs getting blindsided here. 70 and up is disgusting.

Well ... I can't remember the last time I heard a kicker "announcing" early for the NFL.

Didn't that kicker under Butters declare early once Butters left. And that supposed to be all world kicker from FSU Arroyo (spelling) that the Bucs traded up to pick up in the 2nd round, who was washed out by year two.

He's not going to get any better under the tutelage of Knox/Mullen, so why not take your shot now?
I think the kid's going to make a roster and be an NFL kicker next year for some team. The Jets need a kicker (Castillo missed 3 FGs vs the Seahawks about a month ago).

Most of the posters here are elderly. Hell, even the wives are off limits by that standard.

"Yo grandaughta" just doesnt have the ring to it.

Not really.............................he got hurt at Oakland right before his rookie season would have begun, then traded to Chicago and went through all those crazy tryouts prior to the 2019 season with Nagy bringing in guys from all over to compete against him.
He did pretty good in 2019 and was expected to be the Bears starting kicker in 2020, when a groin injury forced him onto injured reserve.

Eddy Piñeiro - Wikipedia

Piñeiro ended the 2019 season with 23 of 28 field goals made (82.1 percent).[28]

2020 season[edit]
After the 2019 season, both coach Matt Nagy and general manager Ryan Pace expressed confidence that Piñeiro would be the team's kicker in 2020. "For us, you all know, [kicker] was a huge, huge, big void that we had going into this year," Nagy said. "I feel pretty good that that void is filled. I feel like that's a positive from this year."[29][30][31][32]

In April, the Bears announced that they had signed former Nevada kicker Ramiz Ahmed and intended for Ahmed to compete with Piñeiro for the Bears' 2020 placekicker job. Pace explained, "We see those guys competing. Look, we love Eddy, and we think his future's very bright.... But those two competing against each other is a really good thing."[33]

On August 11, Ahmed was waived, effectively making Piñeiro the Bears' kicker for the 2020 season.[34] However, Piñeiro struggled with a groin injury that prevented him from kicking in training camp and resulted in him being placed on injured reserve on September 8.[35]
Piñeiro ended the 2019 season with 23 of 28 field goals made (82.1 percent).[28]

I wish Evan the best. But, good kickers are a dime a dozen in the nfl.

Can’t remember a single meaningful kick he made, but of course the LSU miss stands out.
