@TomPelissero: The #Jaguars plan to meet with Urban Meyer today to continue discussing the team’s head coaching vacancy, sources tell me and @RapSheet. No deal is imminent and the team has at least one other interview scheduled. But an important step in the process.

@TomPelissero: The #Jaguars have interviewed Eric Bienemy and Raheem Morris, with Robert Saleh set for Saturday and perhaps more after. One source stressed there’s no deal in place, with Urban Meyer or anyone else. Owner Shad Khan intends to run a thorough process and consider all options.

@RapSheet: The #Jaguars and Urban Meyer have been in communication recently. But an in-person meeting can accelerate everything.

Grew up in Jax but left for the Army before they got the Jags so always was and will be a Dolphins fan, but if Urbs gets hired I'll definitely be watching.

Just to continue harping on this, Morris has a 21-38 record as head coach. If he was white, would he be granted any interviews? I think we all know the answer.

What could Raheem Morris possibly say to dissuade Kahn from hiring Meyer?

(Did I tee that high enough?)

Translation: Now that they got their forced diversity interview (Raheem Morris) out of the way, they can go about trying to hire the qualified people for the job.

They supposedly interviewed the midget (Bieniemy) as well. Nothing like having a guy 4 feet tall with a munchkin voice trying to bark orders at NFL players. Nick Saban is Kareem next to Bieniemy.

Bieniemy worries me. We just don't know how much power he has. I think that is why no one has hired him yet. The woke media will go nuts if he doesn't get hired this go around. I've changed my mind on him. If we go the coordinator route, I'd rather have the OC or DC that isn't under a hall of fame coach. It is like all of Belichick's disciples failing miserably.

It's more than that: he's coaching a HOF quarterback, the best in the game. Makes it pretty easy to make your offense look dynamic.

The college game is a complete mess with NCAA in your a$$, free for all transfers, social media and now the name and likeness thing. Plus the limited CFP ruined the bowls.....Its over. If anyone can grab the cash and get out they should. Mullins is gone if he gets an offer, period end of discussion.

100% correct

I am afraid that the game I love is gone forever

Hopefully Khan has covered his tracks. It seems like Urbs has been his target all along. The nuts could cry "waysism."
Even if true they did the required Rooney rule thing. That's a stupid rule anyway. Hire the best candidate regardless of skin color not a forced racial thing that's usually a hollow farce.
