I hope it was sarcasm. And I didn't like reading that comment because it sounds like Delance might be back. Is that already known and common knowledge?

That's exactly what I mean. They are in a bit of a pause for a moment, because they want to see if Mullen gets another job offer. If he does and takes it, then the problem is solved. If he does not, the negotiations on his release are already being drawn up. They'll use the violations to negotiate a significantly lower buyout. They don't have the balls to just can his ass for cause. They didn't with Butters and they still don't.

One way or the other, Mullen has coached his last snap for the Florida Gators.
don't tease me...

Looks like things have fallen apart with T-Rob. He was supposed to coach safeties and CBs but they have supposedly taken that off the table.

Mason looks to be the be the new Auburn DC. And TR is expected to possibly no switch from negotiating with to us to talking with them now.

see link below.

sigh...

The Daily Rundown: New name emerges, latest on Mullen & Johnson

A new name that has firmly entered the mix is Texas defensive coordinator Chris Ash. Bob was alerted to Ash being involved in the mix on Wednesday afternoon, and our Texas site heard similar shortly after.

It's unclear what role Ash is being targeted for exactly from the Florida side of things, but Texas insider Chip Brown reports that Ash is getting interest from the Gators as a possible co-defensive coordinator in charge of safeties. That would certainly jive with the seeming change in status on the Robinson front.[/

Ash would be a solid hire...IF he's the co-DC. Fatty needs somebody to check him.

Wesley McGriff also coming is the word on TOS. Former DB coach at Auburn, and former DC at Ole Miss under Matt Luke.

Ash and McGriff sound like pretty solid hires based on their backgrounds. Does anybody know much about either of them from a recruiting standpoint? McGriff has quite a bit of SEC experience (as well as time at Miami), so you would hope he has some in-roads. Ash only has 1 year at Arkansas for the SEC and hasn't really been in the southeast much otherwise. However, you would think he would be solid given his experience at OSU and head coaching experience. Anybody know much beyond just resume?

Edit - did some more digging on McGriff. According to 24/7 he seems like he might be a beast of a recruiter. He was credited with Nkemdiche and Tony Conner (both 5-stars) while at Ole Miss and Brandon Harris and Storm Johnson (5 star and high 4 star) among others while at Miami. Should have great connections given his background. I'm hoping he will be a big boost to recruiting if brought in.

Didn't both Nkemdiche and Conner admit to getting paid?

So hire Ash then let Grantham walk/don't renew, and promote Ash.

McGriff is coming to be the bagman, as he has plenty of experience!!
