Report: Jets to interview Florida HC Dan Mullen
Front page of yahoo, so it's a guarantee it's not happening now. Those fuchtards at yahoo are never right.
Whether you were ok with Mullen or hated the hire from day 1, his biggest undoings were the loss to a JV LSU squad (and his laissez faire approach) and a defense that was record-setting in inefficiency and ineptitude. The latter couldn’t be hidden, even with a once in a lifetime potent offense. Barking for some moral victory consideration after what was a better than expected showing against Bama was nulled by the LSU debacle. The coup de grace was the shellacking in the Cotton Bowl that was punctuated by all the opt outs and Mullen’s deflection and profound lack of outward “give a schit.” Any hope and goodwill he had inspired has been wiped away in the course of these final three games.
I would personally feel some better if he’d own it. His reactions, most very deflecting, gives the appearance that he may lack the fortitude for a championship run as HBC in the SEC or that he has lost interest, not invested anymore. To survive as a head coach at that level of college football, it’s not enough to be a great technical coach (which I think he is to some degree) or recruiter (which I don’t believe he is) or a leader of his staff and players (hard no to the first and losing ground on the second), but you’ve got to be a tough SOS...er, SOB. With the shine being gone from the penny, Mullen is not standing tall to face his detractors, so to speak. He’s not showing the toughness needed and expected. In fact, cut and run is what a lot of people are thinking.
Is there a chance he gets this thing turned? I suppose, but the signs are just not there at this point. While I like that there will be changes in the secondary coaching, the fact that Grantham is still the DC of record is not a good sign. There are changes needing to be made and it looks like they won’t be. Worse is that the administrative arm doesn’t seem to care much either. I guess there’s not much more to be done than to say here’s to hoping that things are going on behind the scenes unbeknownst to us. Until we know otherwise, to hell with this past decade, 2020, and how the new year is starting.
I hate giving the Slantinel clicks, and I haven’t seen someone else post this (sorry if I missed it), but if you lose Bianchi, well, there is trouble brewing at UF.

Really? I was able to access from my phone without one.
I think this may work. Found alternate link.

Either way, he lists Mullen’s press conference screw ups, the Mizzou fight, getting on probation, etc. and how it puts UF in a bad light. Says that might be why an extension hasn’t been made yet.
He then says Mullen needs to be upfront about the NFL. If there is a job, take it, if not, shoot down the rumors immediately so that players, recruits, admin, and fans know you’re committed to UF.
It’s the type of thing that PDooley wouldn’t dare write.
Listening to the Gator Nation Podcast, they claim to have a “source” close to Mullen that claims the NFL rumors are just him angling for a raise and an extension, pretty much what we all figured this entire time.I tend to think the NFL rumors are complete bullshyt, if the admin's believed there was a snowballs chance in hell Mullen could be leaving surely they wouldn't allow him to be making hires right now?
As far as Mullen not coming out and shooting the rumors down that's a b!tch move by him, putting himself above the program and the kids. I think he knows he's not getting an offer from the NFL but he want's to try and milk more money out of it and that's pretty classless with everything else that's going on right now. This is the 2nd off season in a row he's allowed this shyt to go on with out putting a stop to it. This mother fucher pretending like he's Meyer or Saban is getting kinda old. Not sure what's in the best interest of the program but I kinda wish they'd call his bluff and recommend he take some interviews.

What a fuchface
You know this how? You don't know sh!t from shinola on this. The Jets were never interested in Mullen. That rumor was Sexton saying Mullen would be interested in the NFL and the Jets. Not a single NFL team has contacted him thus far.
I’ve yet to see anything that confirms he’s been interviewed by even a HS team. You know this how? You don't know sh!t from shinola on this.
Jets have announced everyone they have interviewed so far and he ain't one. Hes like 13-38 against top 25 wtf is he going to do against prosI’ve yet to see anything that confirms he’s been interviewed by even a HS team.
He’s going to be hired away. There are 7 NFL openings and all 7 have Mullen as their top target.
Sexton is trying to create the allusion that Danny Boy is a hot commodity in order to bolster Dan's positionWait, are there people out there that actually think the NFL rumors have a source other than Mullen's agent Sexton?
