As you can imagine because of recruiting, the active college coaches have to interview in a discreet manner - it isn't going to be announced unless they get the job, period. Those claiming it hasn't happened are simply being kept in the dark.

Mullen has already interviewed for all six NFL openings. Within an hour of the Eagles firing Peterson today to open up job #7, Mullen's agent was the first one they called. He'll be interviewing there tomorrow - he was on a flight to Philadelphia tonight. Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie has always been enamored with Mullen and has spoke very highly of him on several occasions.

Sources tell me that he may be offered more than the $9 million a year the Panthers gave Matt Rhule. If there's a bidding war among the teams (some think at least 3 teams want Mullen, and maybe as many as 5), he may end up with 11, or possibly even 12 million per.

Also, and you heard it here first, Dak Prescott doesn't want to sign a long-term contract with Dallas because he wants to go as a free agent to wherever Mullen lands. Jerry Jones knows this and has even considered making a play for Mullen himself. Let's just say you couldn't pull a greased needle out of Mike McCarthy's a**hole right now.

He's the hottest commodity in the NFL in many, many years.

More fake news from SNN . " Sexton News Network. "
Let's look at what we can see: Mullen has not been extended and there has been total silence from the administration. In fact, there is silence all over the place. At the very least, it's blatantly obvious that the administration is not happy with Dan Mullen. If they were happy, an extension would have already been announced and signed. There is recruiting to think about - the silence has been deafening and is currently doing harm to the program.

If this dork is hanging around, Stricklin has a duty to say something - NOW.

The silence is definitely something to look at, especially with the contract situation. So you think the UAA is lining up candidates right now, and if so who?

Stricklin is too lazy to have lined up a single candidate.

I think they are expecting to have an unhappy Mullen for one more year. It does more harm than good, but that's what to expect from this administration.

Yes, the lack of support and comment from the administration is a significant issue. I find it hard to believe that Mullen is a serious candidate for any of the open NFL HC jobs. Does Sexton have enough juice to get Dan some virtual interviews with NFL team officials? I believe he does. I don't see how his resume qualifies him to get serious consideration as HC. However I thought the same about Matt Ruhle, but at least he had a one season stint with the G men.
Stricklin may use the NCAA violations to terminate Mullen's contract, and maybe he is giving him time to find another job. The silence is a real issue and someone needs to clear the air. On Mullen the best shot he has IMO, is an OC job with Meyer.
Cannot see him getting a HBC job in the NFL.

Mullen isn't going to interview much less get it. They're already bringing in people for 2nd in person interviews.

I definitely agree that our AD is just as big of a problem as our HBC. If Mullen is unhappy negotiate a buy out and send him out the door. If you want to keep him then have a media event to say that all is well, and we are all happy and excited about 2021. A big Kumbaya, grab ass event. I vote for the first approach and say Adios.

D and D Dan and Devonta in New Jersey together with the Jets! They have the #2 pick and its a no brainer.

Extend Mullen or let him move on. In the nfl there are less worries. Leer coaches than Dan The Man get extensions and I am sure Mullens agent knows this. This is the Florida Gator for Gods sake. He aint Champ / Chump why leave him hanging?

I dont know if its fair but I am slightly disappointed in this season even though the Gators finally beat UGA and won the east.

The Gators obviously need a new DC like the Dallas Cowboys do. Not sure Mullen will make the change without an extension.

I want this settled soon so the drama does not kill recruiting. Again this is the Florida Gators not the Vanderbilt Commodores. Dan deserve an extension. He lucked out with Trask so lets see him create a top level QB. I say 3 year extension maximum. I would be good with 2 at big money.

It's time to pull the plug on mullen. If you didn't know who he was before, we all know now. Keeping him will further plunge us into depths that will take YEARS to come out of, like the UT fat phils. Stricklin looks every bit of a moron pulling the plug on his guy less than 4 years in, and I don't know who in gator nation can trust that dawg. We have probably the least innovative, least passionate, and the most stuck-up UAA in all of college sports. With the amazing athletes that want to come here, you can stick a frog in the AD desk and he will win AD of the year every year, these clowns think they are responsible for our "success". Someone needs to be whispering in Fuch's ear about the importance of a winning football program and what that means for our university image. Not quite sure how a championship team diminishes our academic prestige...

Dumbest thing I have read all year.
