A reasonable replacement for White? Coach K as a video series for $472. Let the fellas learn to play basketball from that.

Unthinkable: losing Keyontae & Lewis both of whom I think would keep getting better as the season went on. Surely Lewis will miss only 2 more games.?

Do we know why he is missing games?

If it is Covid then it seems like we are invoking the Big Ten's 21 day quarantine. Today is day 11 I believe and he is out until at least Saturday.
What am I missing?

Probably some COVID protocol? 14+ days plus 2 days with no fever? How out of shape will he be?

A guy I was looking at, who is also an alumni, was Mike Miller. One of the top recruiters in the nation at Memphis. I was hoping maybe he would become a head coach at a g5 school and get some experience. But apparently he took some time off and is the head coach for his sons high school team.

I'm so far past giving a schytt about MW and the pathetic wheeze of a P5 program he's "built" at UF, that I'm wiling to take a flyer and just grab the first recognizable name that comes out of the hat. Of course I'd love to strike gold with a "second coming of BD" type homerun, but guys like that are few and far between. Just give me someone with a pulse and a somewhat respectable resume and give the clueless, reeking zombie currently stinking it up at the O Dome the unceremonious boot he so richly deserves. And that goes for his verkakte staff too.

Do Like LSU with the Maravitches: make the promise to recruit and sign his son in exchange for Dad coaching. Miller might be the very "up & coming" young coach UF could take that risk on. Especially if he can recruit from all over and give us an NBA veteran as our HC.
Since we will keep Mike White for another failed season perhaps the UF-Miller bond will make more sense then.?

Heck, what if most of our "experience-getting" players return (because White did not get them a good enuf offensive season to get reasonably high draft offers) especially if Castleton, Mann, & Lewis return? They could win enough to give White a big extension. Oh no!

Are there any good young Italian catholic coaches out there? It seems that several great young coaches were Italian Catholics (Donovan, Pitino, Valvano, Izzo, etc)

Donovan sounds more Irish than Italian to me, but WTF do I know? I grew up in the south of the U.S so I am just a hick.

I believe Billy is of Irish extraction - but he's a definitely a Papist for sure.

You guys really need to set your sights on the better G5 program coaches. Wasting time on Beard, Underwood, etc...will end up costing the program when the other good G5 coaches get plucked. Established P5 coaches aren't leaving, Beard has Tech built and going good and he's a Texas guy, Underwood is building Illinois.

Tenn is going to absolutely DESTROY us tonight at home. Tenn 78, UF 62 and not even that close. They are going to pound the ball inside like MSU did this past game. Wonder what the over under is for how many dunks Tenn gets tonight on us? 12? Our slide continues tonight on our way to a losing record on the season. Looking at our schedule, I would say we might win 4 more games the rest of the season to finish off at 10-15 at best which would be our first losing season since Billy D's last season in 14-15 and worst record since finishing 7-21 in 89-90. It is looking THAT BAD right now.

The worst part is that White will survive this season and probably next season as well

I have no confidence in this administration to make the obvious move because it forces them to admit yet another bad hiring decision in the second most valuable sports program.

All we can do is stop buying tickets (I let mine go 3 years ago) and let the UAA know how you feel and then be patient, which is the hardest part, while we see how far the program must fall before the gutless AD deals with the problem

Thankfully we will be out to dinner tonight so I won't see a single second of the game.
