I don’t think I could possibly list a top 3. So many great options. French, Thai, Italian, Mexican, modern southern, Cajun/Nawlins (not necessarily the same), Japanese (sushi and hibachi), Indian, traditional American, South American of various decent so long as they have seafood and lots of spice, New England clam and lobster bakes, modern American, Spanish Tapas, . . . I’ll stop before going Bubba Gump style about shrimp (a shytty restaurant by the way that sold an ironically small variety of ways to eat shrimp).

For my kids 11 year old birthday dinner tonight he weighed options between hibachi and Brazilian churrascaria (so?). He chose the all you can eat Brazilian meat extravaganza. I don’t think he’ll even visit the salad bar.

If you ever get in Fernandina Beach, FL... T-Rays is a local dive with great simple southern breakfasts and lunches ( closed in afternoons). Went by there today and got one of their burgers. Mom good.

Never checked out a Bolivian restaurant up there, but for Peruvian chicken my favorite was El Pollo Rico in Arlington.

Just another Mexican place /Detroit
I used to live in Arlington and El Pollo Rico was an awesome place. Not gonna lie though, I think Inca cola is pretty disgusting.

As someone who loves to eat, rare is the cuisine I don't like. Years ago I used to do international travel and while I would tend to eat local, eventually I would always get sick of the local cuisine and need to eat something else. The one exception was Italian food. I never ate anything other when in Italy and never got sick of it.

After the LSU debacle I realized I was getting waaaay too wrapped up in the travails of Gator football. Just reading about the program was irritating me. As I knew there was no way I could come on here and not go to the sports forum, I took a month or so off. I confess to lurking occasionally, and when I did so yesterday I saw it was @NVGator ’s birthday. I figured logging on to wish him a HBD was as good a reason as any to come back. So here I am.

I quit taking it too seriously several years ago. Don’t get me wrong, I still love it but I’ve lowered my expectations so I’m rarely disappointed.

I got tricked (again) into thinking this year could turn out different (cue Lucy holding the football gif). I blame myself of course.

Welcome back Big Fella and thanks for the kind Birthday wishes. I guess you could say I was a God send like sweet baby Timothy Tebow.
