They're 11-1. Only lost to Bama 63-71. UT's First game of the season got canceled = vs Gonzaga.

Offensive scorers =
Bailey, 12.3, 6'3" G
Fulkerson, 11.9, 6'9", F
Santiago, 10.1, 6'3" G
Springer, 10.0, 6'4" G
Johnson, 9.2, 6'5" G

So they seem guard-oriented.
Rick Barnes prepares his team to be "all-out" warriors. Been coaching for 34 years,. 6th season at UT. 31 wins in 2019.
Mike White prepares no one. I'm not prepared for Mike White.

Won't have Scottie back - need him. Will have White back - don't need him.
Let's see if Castleton's emotions say "I need someone inside playing around me."
Will Locke be able to shoot 3s?
Will UT cause too many turnovers?
Will Mike White just watch too long as long stretches of slop play go on?
Home game only means White doesn't disrupt his life of ease much.

Idk man, UF is still a top university with more brand recognition than TTech...and more $$.

I know we’ll go cheap though and hire a G5 guy. Foley will have his slimy hands involved I’m sure.
Mike White will be our coach for the next year. Stop this nonsense

I mentioned a couple of years ago that several SEC schools such as Bama and Arkansas gave us perfect examples of one type of coach ( young drivers like Oats and Musselman) a program should go after if you are serious about competing, while Missouri and Miss State went the other direction (veteran winners like Conzo Martin and Howland).

Each of these programs improved their program immediately and only time will tell which approach and/or which coach was the best choice but meanwhile they are all moving in the right direction.

Meanwhile Florida made an insider move and took a coach that fit into neither category mentioned. Our status in the league was slowly declining but now it’s happening faster as a result of the coaching moves made around the league.

In five short years Florida has gone from the top program in the league, or second at worst, to a program that isn’t in the top half of the league anymore.

No top flight veteran coach currently employed is going to take this job anymore so we can forget about the Chris Beard type coach. The current hire has destroyed the attractiveness of the job

We’re left with the same two directions followed by the other SEC programs and the realization that this administration is not likely to make the right move.
And why would any Coach come here with the idiotic fan base that Gator Nation provides.

Nothing wrong or rabid about GatorNation fans insisting on avoidance of incompetence in coaching & building a program.
Also protesting the non-building of promised facilities.

OMG, you nailed it! Your insights are Earth shattering! Gator Nation is the ONLY fan base who is idiotic! What other amazing, fact-based, data-driven insights do you have???
