I thought the same thing. If true it shows he can get away with anything and Dan doesn’t have the balls to tell him what to do.

Hopefully this new hire surprises but such a meh hire when Bama is hiring former nfl head coaches.

Exactly! Bama is hiring ex-NFL head coaches...and Mullen is hiring Jules...from USF.

In fairness to Dan, Jules was the only coach left on the board when Dan got back from his 3 week, post bowl game vacation in Bora-Bora. Totally NOT his fault.

Fukin hilarious. Dan's big eff you to the fans. I gotta give it to Dan, just when I thought the coaching on the defensive side of the ball couldn't get any worse, he goes out and totally proves me wrong. Gonna give him props on this and wish him good luck in 2022 at his next destination.

If the 2022 destination is someplace other than UF, I’m wishing him nothing but a big fat shytt sandwich...with double meat.

Whoa boy....bama staff can't compete with this

I’m not going to judge him based solely on this or the fact that I know little of him. At some point that was everyone, and I’m sure there are serious limitations to his excitement for being a Bull. Does it fit the Mullen mold of underwhelming, yes. But it’s what we have, and I’ll judge much higher up the line than Montinar himself if it doesn’t work. Hope we’re all pleasantly surprised.

We’re clearly in the end game with Dan. The baseball boy is playing out the string now to protect his budget and will be forced to can his MSU buddy next year after he fails as a head coach for the 13th straight year.

@zach_goodall: Florida officially announces the addition of Jules Montinar to the coaching staff. He’ll serve as cornerbacks coach/recruiting coordinator.

@GatorsScott: A closer look at new #Gators assistant coach Jules Montinar, who arrives at UF after spending 2020 season at USF -- Carter's Corner: A Closer Look At Gators Assistant Montinar - Florida Gators

We got dwag GA with 1 years experience at Texas State and 1 year at South Florida. And made him the recruiting coordinator, probably just because everyone else preferred vacationing.

Struck the jackpot here. Im sure Saban is REALLY shaking in his boots now. After all, Saban ALMOST considered him for an ssistant to his secretary position. Ole Linda Leoni, Saba's secretary, whoever in the fuchs that is, hired someone else but she sure did like the young man. I can't believe that made it into the story.

I remember just last week we were getting Meyer's old DC.

At least we didnt pay much. It seems dwag#3 works on one year contracts.

What a laughingstock we are. This is the kind of hire that Southern Miss or South Alabama makes, a guy who couldnt even get a QA job at Bammer.

Im sure Boss and Corch think we hit another Fooley homerun.

The good news is we are clearly planning on firing Cousin Eddie vs throwing money at him and trying to hide his genital warts and cancre sores, like we did overpaying for a 1 year OC to try to save Chimp. Let him hang himself.

Don't unpack. Rent, don't buy.
Actually, I've rethought this. He'll just stay down there and commute. Strick went double, secret cheap so he wouldn't have to pay relocation expenses.
