Also, beefy king isn't open on Sunday and they aren't open for dinner.

So we will have to go there in the mid afternoon (driving from Pinellas County) like before we do a Universal Meetup (at Universal until 2am with food/drink paid for).

We had great sweet tea

I still eat at Firehouse Subs- I sold because my skeletal system gave out- 3 tears of rotator cuff in right shoulder
replaced both knees
had 2 surgeries each on both legs for other issues
broke my left wrist- ended up having 3 surgeries to repair- the most recent one they took out the 3 bones in your wrist between the arm and the hand
had cataract surgery in both eyes
have 2 bulging discs in my lower back
have 2 compressed discs in my neck

40 years of the restaurant biz can wreak havoc on your body

That sounds more like 40 years in MMA instead of restaurant biz.

It's fantastic fast food, but if you are going to go 20 minutes out of your way there are other restaurants in downtown Orlando that you'd probably want to check out first. Unless of course you are a connoisseur of roast beef sandwiches.

last February when we were going to the meet up, we did Del Taco, because the wife hadn't had it since college and I had never had it. It would be stop just to get a late lunch, then go the park, free food would start at 7

Anybody else miss Sambo's? Damn politically correct folks ruined all the fun places.

One of the many jobs I had in Gainesville was the prep guy in the Wuv’s kitchen on 13th and University. I made the beef patties, sliced the onions and tomatoes, kept the salad bar refreshed with a **** ton of something called potato whitner and made the Cole slaw for the chicken baskets. On day one of my training, my trainer pulls out a big gray wash tub, opened up a 5 pound bag of dry Cole slaw mix and poured it in, then took 6 big handfuls of Mayo on tossed it in with 2 full bags of sugar. With the same bare hands he used to scoop the Mayo with, he mixed it all up and then proceeded to fill about 100 little plastic cups up with them, which I topped off with caps. He then went to the sink to wash his hands, and I noticed the pale white circle on the skin of his finger where a band aid once resided, and saw the open wound it had once protected. I asked him if he had taken off to make the slaw..he looked down and said “Dammit..it was there when I started”. I went into the cooler to get the now contaminated trays full of coleslaw containers to throw out, to which he replied “ Don’t worry about it, most people don’t even eat that crap so the chances of them biting into my band aid are pretty low.” As God is my witness, I haven’t had fast food Cole slaw since that day..

As to my favorite fast food place, I’d have to go with Del Taco or Godfather’s Pizza!
