Telling him he'd likely not be catching passes from EJ very long probably sealed the deal.

I saw a long drawn out vid projecting where he would transfer. We were not mentioned once. They went on and on about, Georgia, Oregon, Alabama, the NE, and more.

If we can get to the red zone, he's gonna be a threat. If you don't like Mullen's offense, Mullen will at the very least throw sideways or a few yards beyond scrimmage. He's got moves. He's got hands. He can cut like a six foot receiver. He's big. Give it a rest. He'll make a difference. Our QB ought to have time for 10 yard dump offs.

Blocking? I didn't see any tape on it. I wouldn't expect to see any.

The discrepancy between Mullen's portal recruiting and high school recruiting is bizarre. At this point it is no longer a coincidence.

Now since we heard endless recalculation of our 2019 class after all the departures, what is our 2020 recruiting class ranking now if you add Bomwan and Gilbert?
This is a fair question.

Exactly!

Two years ago, ND did a good job throwing to the TE.

Mullen's offenses with CI & The Killer were a good start but he took it to another level with Pitts.
Gilbert ran the same sort of offense in high school as we ran for Pitts, last year. They split him out and moved him around to get him open.

He won a state championship at the highest level in GA.

I'd say LSU did a good job in 2020 tailoring their offense for Gilbert - he was a true freshman and had 35 catches from the TE position in only 8 games (Pitts had 43 this year in 8 games). 35 catches in that sh*tty LSU offense (who played 3, maybe 4 different QBs) is pretty impressive for a true freshman. Point is - if we want to showcase Gilbert we can, no matter who's playing QB.

There is plenty of things to criticize CDM about, AG transferring to us is not one of them.
