I was about to ask the same thing. He’s practically said if we have him the chance he’d commit. From what little I have read about him a lot of people think he’s overrated and not good enough for Power 5 teams. But if we wast schollies on long snappers why not take a flyer on him. He has the measurables.

He's not that good. Miami passed, he was told he needs to move to OL also. He's a UCF/FAU type who's hoping for a P5 offer. However, he would have been a better take than Strickland - if he was willing to move to the OL.

I believe he switched from DL to OL and from everything I’ve read it did not go well.
