We got THREE ourselves!

Ole Dildo Dan Doin Work!!!!

Solfa and 78 say we are closing the gap.

NEXT YEAR WE GETTIN ERRBODY!!!

If by “closing the gap”, you mean we are fielding a more talented team than we had when he arrived, then yes, I may have said something like that. We’ll have more 5*s next year than we have had since maybe 2012. But I actually don’t recall even using that phrase, and if I did it would’ve included the admission that it’s not happening as quickly as any of us would like. I’ve openly questioned the effort, railed against the self inflicted NFL “rumors” in back to back years, talked about the disorganization of our recruiting overall, and wanted the dismissal of at least three staff members. So you’re either deliberately misquoting me or misheard me when I said those things above because you couldn’t hear over the Nickelback you had blasting in the background.

Having said that, I’ve also stated that it goes much deeper than Mullen or just this staff. So I’m not sure @Spurdog98 doesn’t have the best overall idea. But if we’re not going that direction, I’m not sure canning Dan solves all our problems because the next guy probably will face many of the same challenges with our current administration.

I was, and still am pulling for you to make partner, btw. But between the graduation from Dorky Dan to Dildo Dan, and your general demeanor the last few days, I’m guessing that didn’t happen.

Huh, no Florida signing day press conference? That's a first that I can recall.

Well our coaches decided to take the last 2 months off since the first signing day. Apparently they are so thrilled with their performance they didn’t even feel it necessary to send papers to anyone else. Don’t need a top 100 safety but we got ourselves a long snapper

Ever so SLIGHTLY less Butterish and more Cowbellish. Yes, the mighty Dildo Dan has landed his fourth consecutive 5th in the SEC class. Which is just a drastic change from Butters 6th and 5th in the SEC classes

Dildo Dan earned the promotion to being Dildo Dan by acting like a Dildo. Before, he was just a dorky dancer that even Franks smirked at. Even Franks couldnt believe how dorky he was.

Is that Dan trampstamp and SEC East "Champion" rocker still itchy?

Whenit comes to worst recruiters in Gator history, it is really 1A and 1B when comparing Butters and Dildo.

None of that, accurate or not, refutes my point(s). We are in better shape, but not as good as we should be. Your suggestion of rankings is fine, even if I slightly disagree. But we're in better shape today. Anything beyond that is semantics.

And as I said, I also don't think it's simply coincidence that the last two guys have struggled even in our own state with teams like uga, Clemson, Alabama and Ohio State having their way. We've been heading that way since the final Meyer's classes, and have stated as much many times. We can agree on Mullen not prioritizing initial recruiting. I even said that his scores in the portal are probably making matters worse in that regard because he feels like can actually coast, or possibly even vacation, during NSD. No excuse for that. But again, who's stepping into this situation with the current toxic combination of demands and lack of commitment from the top? We thought we had two "big fish" last time and were torn on which one we wanted, before watching them choose a basketball school and dead end position in Siberia(rather than the 2 hour drive north from where his family lived). I see nothing of note indicating that's changed. So again, fire Mullen. Fine with me. But unless we're doing some wholesale purges at the top, it's not going to suddenly turn on a dime, imo.

Couldn't agree more.

And while the popular sentiment here seems to be to fire CDM, the reality is it's a crap shoot as to whether the replacement will be an upgrade. As much as we (justifiably) complain about Mullen, he's an improvement over both Butters and Chimp (though Chimp was a better recruiter in many ways). However I am convinced he'll never win a championship (late to the party I know). So ultimately he has to go because the standard at UF is (or should be) competing for championships. If, on the other hand, sofla and many others here are correct, that there is no commitment from the top to compete, then everybody better be prepared for things to be worse under the next guy unless we get really lucky.

Maybe some of you know who that next elite recruiter is, but I sure don't. And I have no expectation that Stricklin does either. (And we all know Fuchs couldn't care less.)

Sad but true. As terrible as Mullinz is at most aspects of being a coach, namely all those that don't involve calling offensive plays when he feels desperate to score quickly, we have done him no favors at attempting to mitigate his weaknesses and providing an even slightly adequate support staff and facilities.

The ugly truth is that if the next Meyer were sitting at Utah today looking at his next job, he would easily choose ND over us... and likely 30-50 other schools over us.

The cat is out of the bag at how terrible this admin. They simply aren't interested in building an elite program period and everyone knows it. Chimp and Butters, as mediocre hires as they were, were correct on these fronts.

As for the roster "improvements", the only arguably better position is RB, and none of the "better players" have proven anything on an actual field. They could easily me the next "mehhhh" guys like Grimes and Shorter.

That being said, losing 3 or 4 games a year isn't an improvement. 85% of college coaches can win the games against teams when you have a talent advantage. Mullen is really no different than Chimp or Butters on this front. The only hope is lucking into the next Joe Brady or young SOS who can overcome the admin deficiencies.
