That one pass Mahomes threw on 4th down late in the game where he was falling down and hit the WR in the face 30 yards downfield (who dropped it) was beyond belief. He may have been the only QB in history who could have made that throw.

Randall Cunningham would like a word.

While Mahomes’ off-balance passing exploits in the second half were quite a spectacle, I felt he went too far with it and took too many unnecessary chances. It took the Chiefs out of rhythm and away from their game plan. They weren’t that far out of it that they had to resort to desperation plays each possession. That’s what it felt like watching it.

I’d be interested in hearing Reid’s take.

What I saw was immense pressure front 4 pass rushers that enabled 7 men in coverage. No time to throw and no one to throw it to...especially when the TE was covered by a LB. The TE was the only one that got single coverage all night.

At least a few of those desperation passes were thrown blindly into heavy coverage. It’s a wonder he didn’t end up with more picks. It’s also a wonder a few of those didn’t end up being long gainers. He hit a few surprised receivers in the hands, remarkably enough.

They needed to roll Mahomes out to give him more space/time. After the first two series it was obvious. No adjustments were made, ever. Terrible coaching.

Randall Cunningham would like a word.

Cunningham was my first favorite NFL QB and one of the primary reasons I became an Eagles fan. But as athletic and nimble as he was, he couldn’t do that. Would’ve definitely gotten the passes off, but not with the precision that Mahomes did.

I was in a hotel room in between flights for last year’s SB so couldn’t watch and only got score updates. I remember thinking after seeing the comeback, that Reid must've changed because he never would’ve won that game with Philly. What I saw last night was the old Reid I’ve come to know well over the years. Just completely emotionless in the big game as if it’s week 3 and simply a matter of film study to get ready for next week. Somebody mentioned him getting out coached and making no adjustments to what TB was throwing at them. That’s the story of his career.

Suh, Barrett and Paul had him running for his life.
White made Hill and Kelce his little beyotches in the middle of the field.
Bunting, Winfield, Davis and Edwards shutdown Hill, Pringle and Robinson.

There was nothing Mahomes could do but run for his life and throw desperation passes. The further in the game got the more desperate the passes got.

Mahomes is a phenomenal talent and probably the future of the NFL, but let's not take anything away from Brady and Tampa Bay.
I'm not a big NFL fan but this has been an exciting season. Tom Brady deserves a lot of credit but that was a great Tampa Bay team; Give credit and show some respect.
I'm happy for Tampa and wish I could be down there celebrating with them.
I don't usually follow the NFL but this has been a really exciting year.
I'm happy for Tampa and still remember those days when they were bood out loud by their so called "fans."
KC just got their asses kicked and it was fun to watch. They're a great team and I'll be rooting for them despite their criminole war chant song.
But now is the time to celebrate a great run for Tampa Bay.

Except on third down where they smartly double/tripled Kelce, Todd Bowles plan worked to a T. That Tampa Bay defense is young and deep.

One thing that ive said at the last minute of the half the last 3 games, "we are going to score." Its incredible the feeling of confidence Brady brings even to a pessimistic fan like me

The chiefs could've done a number of things to adjust to their OL struggles. For one they never seemed to stop sending out 5 guys on every pass. Instead of helping their tackles, but they never really did this. They also didn't get the backs involved in the passing game, or generate much on the ground. Their drive to open the second half was probably their best of the game. But outside of that drive their running game was basically Mahomes freelancing on passing plays for a 1st on the ground here and there.

I knew White was a player at LSU, but the guy might just be the best linebacker in football. He was unbelievable. In many ways the game reminded me of the 06 title game. Poor Troy Smith had to be having flashbacks watching the game on Sunday night.

The reason everything worked so well in that game was the Bucs just owned the Chiefs on both lines. That opens the door for TB and spells doom for the Chiefs - Mahomes fantastic nearly upside-down desperation throws while running for his life showed he was a one-man team against Champions. The Bucs won their last 8 games for a reason, they gelled into a juggernaut at mid-season and then started kicking ass. They beat the tomahawk choppers like a red-headed stepchild every damn minute of the game. Just beat their ass. All the KC crybabies on this board just boggles the mind. Did they see that backwoods stump-breaking that their team endured Sunday night?

And football logic said that the bucs would win that because of the lines. Bucs were better on both sides. QB doesn't matter if hes always running for his life
