That's the flour I've been using. Any idea why that brand is so much more than the others?

Supposedly better but not exactly sure why. Mi recommended it. I can get a 12lb bag of all-purpose King Arthur at Costco for about $8 but then get 5lb KA bread flour at Kroger for $5.

Try their popovers and pretzels if you like those.

Made some bourbon street chicken ( with Jim Beam) over rice and baked up some French bread.

I haven't had that dish since the 90s in the Regency Square food court.

Good eats.

Forgot to take a pic. ( I'm not doing twitter or Facebook anymore so I'm not carrying my phone around as much ... which is a good thing)

Is that all they’ve done on this, or is that an old pic? I never go over to Celebration. If so, feels like it’s on the same schedule as the football complex. Thought let it was supposed to be done by now.

Also, unless you actually ate the building, or Spurrier himself, you’re really not following instructions here.

Which part? The slow construction pace? Don’t blame me. I’ve been busy and can’t watch over every little detail.

I read the title of this thread. I have read instructions before. Not always. The thread title is not very instructive. Sooooo I read the first entry. Still not instructive. I figured this was about food. I do know what dinner time means. A restuarant can certainly play a big role at dinner time. Since the man in the picture is the greatest single figure in gator sports history and will soon have a restaurant in gatorville I thought it might be something of interest here. If not .............so be it. i thought the pic with the HBC was really cool.

What is the difference between grill and Grille?
Grill: a grated metal cooking utensil (noun); to cook over direct heat (verb). Grille: a network of metal, wooden, or plastic bars that acts as a barrier or screen.

What’s with the “e” on Grille? Seems gay.

I’m actually more concerned with what appears to be a giant Lego piece at the bottom left of the scaffold. I get being on a budget. But if that’s what that is, I have to wonder about the safety of this place.

Though it would certainly explain the time delays.

Grilled a NY strip tonight, finished in a pan with rosemary and butter. Sautéed brussell sprouts and broccoli with garlic.

No-Knead Harvest Bread

Made some no-knead bread in a Dutch oven today. It came out fantastic.

Got a fresh variety of raw nuts (macadamia, pecan, walnut, pistachio and almonds ) from Publix and roasted for 10 mins. Folded into the mix.

I guess the steam generated inside the Dutch oven works magic. 20210213_111735.jpg 20210213_111756.jpg 20210213_111749.jpg

As I said, first time having it. So while it was great, the friend is also basically a chef, so not sure if it was that specific preparation or just him. So like you, I’m not sure it’s worth all the extra work and steps. Was great though. In true steak house fashion, honestly the sides were kind of the star.

It’s actually much LESS hassle - it takes maybe 2 minutes to set up the sous vide, and there is no timing concern...sous vide it for an hour, but if you’re not ready to eat for 90 minutes...no worries. Get your grill or cast iron hot, and then you have about 90 seconds of cook time - 45 second sear on each side, and you’re done...perfect medium rare every time. I sear it in a cast iron so I can shower it with browned butter, but you have zero concern, especially with a thick cut like filet, if you have gotten the center done without overcooking it.
