Thanks Alex.
@Seedy is a man of few words which is why I have to get my words out on a message board I guess. There are a few topics in here that he could post a considerable amount on though and hope he does. He only joined the previous board we all posted on to fix the things I broke, or at least that's the joke. :bwahaha:
Is it really a joke if it is true? :rotfl: That poor Seedy doesn't even have time to hold down a regular job thanks to CD breaking things for him to fix... :bwahaha:

This past Saturday I felled two trees for an elderly neighbor. One was a very nice size Black Walnut that I hope to have two logs sawed into lumber. The other was a really big Ash and I got one log from it and cut the rest of both trees into firewood for the man's son to use. He still has another large Ash that we are going to work on this coming Saturday but he is renting a bucket lift so we can take it down from the top. It has a very heavy lean towards the house and I am not comfortable cutting it down from the base as it is. If I had a piece of equipment to lay it away from the house maybe but I'm not a professional so...

I thought I saw somewhere in here where you bought an old tractor. Speaking of ash lumber, I have a friend up in Georgia that saws lumber, mostly cedar and cypress that cut up some ash about 20 something years ago and gave it to a friend who stored in his corn crib. The guy call Billy a couple of years ago and asked him if he wanted some ash. Billy went over there and it was the same material he had given the guy years ago, in perfect shape. Billy loaded it up and hauled it back to his shop where he has it stacked up to make furniture. Billy's ash.jpg

Yes, I did buy and old Model A Farmall tractor. I'm hoping to get it and the identical tractor that my dad gave to me fixed up. Neither tractor are currently operational and I don't think I would trust either of them to pull the tree we still have to cut because they just aren't heavy enough for my liking. I also like cutting trees down and have a friend who owns a Woodmizer sawmill. I'll haul these logs that I have over to him and I may see if he will barter with me on them. Maybe he will saw the Ash for me in exchange for the Walnut. I know the Walnut is more valuable but I just don't really want any of that right now.

If some guy calls me up and asks if I want some ash, I expect I'd ask "What did you say?"

Working in a convenience store, I remember a customer from Tennessee ask the clerk for a bag of ass.

She was mortified. She said "pardon me?"

He said "Ass, a bag of ass!"

I had to translate for her..."he's saying he'd like to purchase a bag of ice".

The kids' elementary school newsletter once said, "Next week students will be working on addiction and subtraction."

Maybe?!?

Thank you for your assistance.

My assistance encompassed “Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?”. I knew that experience as a kid would come in handy!

Welcome to “the hole”.
