:bwahaha: 2008-2020+ is just a bit more than a "little flash in the pan" don't you think? :rotfl:

And BTW, where is this "Word" coming from? SEC coaches that are NOT at Bama? :bwahaha:

Ok now I'll give you that it's not a flash in the pan, but it starts in 2009.

I didn't really have any issue with the Presser. Dan looked happy and relaxed, something most of you have no concept of.

The pain of losing 3 in a row is still bouncing around but wallowing in the mud doesn't help get out of the mud. New Year, new Team and new challenges. Time to let the past go and focus on what we can do something about, the future. Some of you act like we have no chance in 2021 and you may be right but you may also be wrong. I'm hoping we can be at least competitive in every game and win most. Would be nice to get back to Atlanta and win there but I wouldn't bet on that right now. No matter what's going on now, I don't think Dorkey Dan will be fired anytime soon, so pace yourselves, there will be plenty of time and opportunity to bash our less than perfect coaches in the next 12 months.

I'm going to make this prediction right now - and I think I have about a 50+% chance of being right - FSU will end up with a higher ranked recruiting class than we do in 2022. For all the mocking we're doing of them, they are throwing out offers to any and every 4-star player in the country. Meanwhile, we're showing up late to the party even for in-state kids.

Hell UCF may wipe the floor with us with Malzahn there

Only whole foods and 80/10/10. He'd lose 10-15 lbs a month. RS him and let him focus on health and nutrition.

How fine it would be for our program to gain the reputation for transforming overweight slobs into svelt mobile athletes. Take on such projects to prove our program's staff is competent in the max areas of player-development. Yeah, we have to transform the reputation we now have. Right now, I'd say our reputation is that we can't develop players by increasing their weight.

How about we just be an elite football team.

Not Jenny Craig.

I guess the fact that every elite team was passing on him.should have been a sign.

At the elite teams, they have staffers assigned to monitor problem.kids, weoght, grades, visa whatever.

At UF we have a 2 GAs and 2 quality assistants luke it is still 1979.

There’s a spring game. No crowd allowed.
Florida AD Scott Stricklin explains why the Gators won’t have spring game in 2021

Quote below is from Stricklin from the article:

During the COVID pandemic, the UAA’s focus has been on safely conducting athletic events against outside competition while allowing a limited number of Gator fans to attend those games, per UF Health guidelines.

Beginning this Thursday, the Gators football team will have 15 practices that will encompass four weeks. However, hosting fans for an intra-squad spring football scrimmage seems unwise given all circumstances, including the fact that Ben Hill Griffin Stadium is being used as a large scale COVID testing and vaccination site.

Staying engaged with Gator fans and their passion for Florida football remains a priority. As part of spring football practice, the football team’s social media accounts on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook will provide enhanced coverage of spring practice to give fans a more complete view of the Gators’ progress. Also, the SEC Network will have a dedicated window to showcase Gators Football, similar to what televised spring games have provided in the past.

We appreciate the continued support of our fans throughout the pandemic, and we can’t wait to host Gator Nation at the Swamp for games this Fall. Go Gators!

that doesn’t say there’s no spring scrimmage. It says they won’t host fans for the spring scrimmage.

in all fairness, I’ll concede it also doesn’t outright say there will be a scrimmage either.

BHG is shut down as a testing site, that is where the priority is. Not in hosting a Spring Game.

they’re not “hosting” a spring game. There will be no fans. The spring game is a scrimmage. I’d assume they will still scrimmage. Just not in the traditional sense.

Fuch that, I say we let the big boy reach his full potential. We're not winning shyt anyways, who wouldn't love to see a 700 lber playing nose tackle. Hell promise him if he makes it to 800 lbs. we'll let him play run the ball a couple times, kick off and attempt a few extra points.

A 18 year old kid could somehow manage to gain over a 100 lbs. in a few months all on his on, imagine what he could do with some science, experts and unlimited resources pushing him to maximize his gains.
