Moby Dicks was some really good southern food for a long time.
Mom moved from Killearn up to Talquin in the 90’s. Just sold the house this summer. It was directly across from the dam near the Whippoorwill marina. Prime real estate. The new owners tore down the old cinder block house and will rebuild in a few years. That’s a terrific lake.
It is a great lake and we fished out of Whippoorwill quite a bit when I was younger. We recently enjoyed the Whip restaurant until it closed, septic tank and drainage issues I heard. That was the nicest part of the lake on the Gadsden county side in my opinion.

Not a big fan but it is useful as a binding agent on chicken wings or pretty much any chicken with the skin still on to hold dry rub on pieces when you’re cooking them on the grill. You never even taste it.

About the only thing I can eat yellow mustard on is a baloney sammich on white bread with mayo. It also never fails to somehow squish out and land on the front of my shirt.

Found a roach in a Publix pre-roasted chicken - of course it wasn't until we ate half.

In flight meals were always an adventure. Bit into an apple once and found half a worm.

I opened a bag of fritos once and halfway through the bag there was some kind of a fat maggot or grub worm wiggling around. I threw up for a half hour.
