Adelshiem. I meant to put it in the wine thread, but here’s the label. Very smooth and just a little bit of tannin at the end. I’d say it has at least three more years, maybe even five.

Nice. I’ll try it on your recommendation. We’ve spent quite a bit of time tasting from Jacksonville north through Grants Pass up to Roseburg. Good wines throughout that area.

Filet pan fried in cast iron because it’s cold outside. Not as good as on the Blackstone. Fried Royal Red shrimp. Eagles music playing in the background isn’t very romantic. They didn’t make many love songs.

I made a prom mix tape and included “Hotel California” because I thought it sounded nice. I never really listened to the lyrics.

Mrs G got the night off and I made a roasted pork loin roast with carmelized onions in a white wine Dijon sauce with garlic mashed potatoes and buttered peas. Also in the picture is last of the appetizer: smoked salmon on water crackers with sour creme and fresh dill. Since the sauce had white wine in it I had the same wine with the meal; an Olema Chardonnay. I think a red wine, like a Pinot Noir or Merlot would have been a better choice. With the salmon we had Scharffenberger sparkling wine, a very underrated champagne style wine from N. Cali. We also served it at our wedding so I scored major points tonight!

Were you going to tuck your shirt in, or does this imply that those major points you scored were cashed in immediately, even before eating?

Looks great, btw.

I'm sure I'll take abuse for this, but its an apron. I had to brown the pork and the onions and I figured it would splatter (it did) and didn't want to stain my clothes.

sounds interesting, I can envision it I guess. Did Mrs Nalt like the air fryer?
She did. But she hasn't used it yet...:banghead: She said that there is a piece that goes with it but it didn't come in the box. She had to order it separately. At least it isn't supposed to cost any extra...

Quick cheese and crackers :) on the stone. And no abuse on the apron, after ruining many shirts I now rock the Home Depot apron while grilling..
