How much do we really know about exactly how much work Miller did with Mann? Was it a few days, few weeks, few months? The biggest change I observed was he got taller, gained about 15 lbs or so, and greatly improved his attitude and confidence. Unlike the other 2 I did see real talent and skill from Mann even as a freshman and saw some steady improvement throughout last season.

I really like Miller but just curious how much time he spent with Mann. A camp? Did he come into Gville and spend individual time with Mann?

As far as Miller as our coach....would he even be interested? What about leaving his son (not sure what grade he is in)?

Poking around I saw that Miller worked with Mann at the Villages in Ocala last June 9th. I wonder if there were other trainings? I’ve only heard of Miller’s impact on this site.

Even more impressive that one day is all it took :eek2:

Like GWebb, I don’t think we’re a 7 seed, though I like the bracket you had us in playing a 3 seed (Iowa) game 2.
I think we’re an 8 or 9 playing a 1 seed game 2, if we win game 1.
I'll eat some crow - I'll be damned if they didn't put us at a 7 seed; however, if we beat VaTech, OSU awaits. Just hope for the one win I guess.

My boy Holtmann has had OSU overachieve all season. I won't be shocked if they win that region.

We got a favorable bracket draw honestly. Odds are we don't make it past the first weekend, but pOSU is far from unbeatable. They finished the season with a 4 game losing streak before getting back on track for the Big 10 tournament. I watched some of the game today that they lost in OT and honestly I didn't see the defensive intensity that I saw in the SECT. Good guard play and tough defense is the recipe for success in the NCAAT. Maybe we get some stuff figured out by next Friday. Probably not, especially with MW leading the charge, but stranger things have happened.

Instead of solidarity-kneeling on the sidelines, our boys should be seated doing the droopy-lipped pout = What White brings to the tournament.

Yeah it stinks having no hope for the program. Just middle of the road 18-12 records that actually feel like 10-20 and lucky to get into the tourney.

Bama is now ahead of us in football, basketball, softball, and baseball is creeping. Here is a thought - maybe the key to being an “all sports” school is to take care of football first.

Georgia has taken the exact same approach and the rewards are funding the improvement of all other sports just like Bama. Georgia even won a track national championship a couple of years ago. Georgia did this while a Foley clone, Greg McGarity, was their AD. Even Greg could see that his former boss was/is clueless.

I wonder how much time will pass before Scottie and the Crusaders figure this out.

I'm pretty sure Mann worked more extensively with Ron Larris. He is a Gainesville High School graduate and played ball at Georgia State. He runs a basketball training program locally called "Nothing is given, it's earned".

The takeaway is that, much like strength and conditioning under McElwain, players have to go outside the program to improve their game.
I need someone to explain to me why we pay White millions each year.

He recruits soft players, according to him

He can’t develop talent

His offensive schemes are dysfunctional

His game time performance is laughable at best

I guess being a classy guy is all our athletic department requires.

Mike White giving pep talk on the sideline?

Don't forget he is connected and to the woke athletic crowd. They would prefer a Lacrosse match to a football game anytime.

Yep I get that and I totally agree with you. Just didn't want Mike Miller getting credit for something that Ron probably had a bigger part in. Our big men seem to never develop under White. I'm pretty sure every single power forward and center that he recruited has left before graduating, because none of them were servicable.
