I graduated with Jed Clampett (sort of). Buddy Epsen got an honorary degree from UF (in 1983) so he was on stage during the graduation. He was old even then and slept for most of the ceremony.

"Ebsen graduated from Orlando High School in 1926. Initially interested in a medical career, Ebsen attended the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, from 1926 to 1927, and then Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, from 1927 to 1928."

On June 1 upcoming, there will be christening ceremonies for babies who will participate in the inaugural use of the facilities.

Ebsen was cast as the Tin Man in the wizard of Oz. He was replaced due to a severe allergic reaction to the silver paint.

He was in over 50 movies and appeared in 25 TV shows not counting the Beverly Hillbillies and Barnaby Jones TV series
