I’m not sure who decided to open up an Axe throwing bar or what insurance company covers them but it was fun! what could possibly go wrong with axes and alcohol? Has anyone else tried it yet?

Uh...excuse me but... that black and yellow tape is there for a reason. Foot violations!

(no - I have not tried it but have had friends say it's a blast. especially after a few beers)

All that’s just for show. I remember when they used to have a wood splitting contest every year at the “Swine Time” festival in Climax GA. Used to be won most every year by one or the other of two brothers that pulp-wooded for a living. Then from out of nowhere, the contest was won the last year Swine Time was held by a guy from Ochlockonee...who didn’t have any arms! Most amazing thing I ever saw. That cat could split wood two to one with any man that had both arms. How’d he do it? Stuck the ax up his @ss and turned somersaults! He was quite nimble :)

Obvious how he won. He would always go first and nobody else wanted to grab the ax handle. Kinda schitty way to win if you ask me.

Yeah. This is definitely an activity where there is a little voice in the back of your head saying "this is one of your dumber choices".

Especially when you bounce an axe off the wall and it nearly makes it back to your feet.

It is loads of fun though and I haven't heard of any serious injuries.

Funny, that little voice in the back of my head said “You are going to be GREAT at this!” This wasn’t the first time that voice lied to me.

Yeah, it already has. Top Gun, Daytona Beach. No shooting allowed after one drink, tho.

I've never tried it personally. My experiences with axes has always been swinging them downward or at a downward angle and I didn't intentionally let go of the handle.
