I wouldn't say I refuse to watch his movies, though the Matrix movies are incredibly overrated in my opinion.

I have in the past enjoyed De Niro (Taxi Driver, the Deer Hunter), but the last several years I have hated what I’ve seen him in. Part of it I think is he looks pitiful trying to be a tough guy. The other is I can’t stand his politics.

I don't care what an actor or athlete's opinion is on politics and it's more likely to make me shun them altogether.

Sean Penn falls into this category for me.
I think he's an incredible actor, but it's hard to watch him knowing what a whackjob he is.

He just isn't funny. Doesn't help that he's essentially the same character in every movie(though you could technically say the same about Vince Vaughn). But unlike VV, the character just isn't that good. Then throw in movies like 50 first dates where he's suddenly a ladies man, and that doesn't work either. Outside of Wedding Singer, I can't watch.

I'll nominate Diane Keaton for the worst actress. Sometimes you just don't outlive the roles you've played, and she's one of those examples. With everything Michael had on his plate at the time, she has an abortion and tries to take the kids away? There may not be a more appropriate scene than him closing the door in her face.
Garaffolo is pretty bad as well.
For actors, I'm personally not a Steve Martin fan. Though I met Kevin Nealen(sp) once and he was an absolute tool. So he would be my number 1, followed by Vin Diesel.

Also essentially the same character in every movie. Lone Survivor was good and there are some moments in the Will Ferrell movies that are ok. Generally though, I agree. His brother is good in Band of Brothers.

Afleck is great in The Town as well. That’s it.
I put Cage, Paxton and Bacon in the same boat. I’m not sure how any of them became stars.
