We were the only one that paid (the other) Fat Ass all of his money.

Im a little slow. Can you clarify your coaching reference as

A. Charlie W (definite fat ass)
B. Muschamp (more fat head than fat ass)
C. McElwain (more of a yellow ass)

Crete will come along again and tell us Illinois stole this man fresh off the "Belichick coaching tree". Even if that was true (it's laughable), have you seen what has happened to the assistant coaches from that tree when other teams have been unfortunate enough to hire them?

Belichick has the most rotten tree in football.

Bill Belichick's 'coaching tree' hasn't fared well as NFL head coaches.

Just like Saban. You can’t duplicate their formula without them at the helm.

he has had good luck with morbidly obese coordinators in the past.

I was thinking the same thing. Nick is 23-0 against former assistants.
I dont think CUM assistants have done any better. I guess Strong had a championship at Louisville one year. Ryan Day spent I think only one year on staff.

SOS' tree is even worse.

Id say Saban is the only good piece off the Bielicheck tree, but as always it isnt just the coach. He was forgettable at MSU and LSU, mostly 7-5, before he got the open purse and full support of the AD at Trailerbammer.

Saban is more off the Parcells coaching tree than Belichick, just like Belichick himself. They are Parcells guys.

Best coaching tree ever has been Andy Reid.

I know I'm naive, but what ever happened to being paid on merit and results? In my world you either meet the requirements of the position or hit the bricks. In my world all contracts should be structured on performance results with continued employment based on the standards set by the EMPLOYER, and not the hokus pokus we see in today's sports world. Shame on all universities who are too stupid and ignorant of the obvious outcomes we all too often see today. Anyone who contributes to this financial failure is deserving of the consequences. IMHO...Go Gators...:jog:

You old people are so cute in your “merit and results” world...
