Steelers signed Florida S Donovan Stiner.
Stiner (6'2/205), a three-year starter at Florida, is whatever a defensive coordinator needs him to be. Per PFF, Stiner took over 100 snaps at free safety, slot corner, and in the box last season, proving himself as a bit of a do-it-all piece for the Florida defense. Stiner's overall athletic profile is nothing to get excited over (4.58 40-yard dash), but he plays with a quick trigger, both in coverage and towards the run, which helps him maximize the athletic traits he does have. The accuracy of Stiner's mental trigger can run hot and cold, though, which led to just as many sick plays in coverage as it did embarrassing blunders. Stiner could slide into a versatile Morgan Burnett-type role in the league, but he will need a couple of years to iron out how he reads the field.
Someone paid money for a "scout" to write that.

It's like some of the short essays I wrote in college once I figured out the professor wasnt reading them anyway. blah blah blah didn't read the book blah blah blah mans inhumanity to man blah blah blah

The Steelers, of all people, offering a free- agent contract to Donovan Stiner is a hard one to grasp.
he will be gone at the first roster cut. That's usually like two weeks in, right?

I too have been described as having a quick trigger.

yep...especially given how well they evaluate talent on the defensive side of the ball.
like swonk said, he'll be gone before you know it. might be on the practice squad though.

Yeah, but did you ever have the nerve to bury "the professor is an idiot" in the middle of the essay?

Edited for accuracy.

I'm a huge Tebow fan but I hate this. He needs to stay retired/in media. His time has passed.

What physical limitations do you think he would have playing TE? He isn't asking to play QB again, and he's far from too old to play, especially in the shape he's in. Such hate.

No hate. It's just that he's trying to get back into a career in a position he's never played 6 years after his last game. There are better TE options out there lol.
