So, what happened with picking regional host sites on May 10, 21?

Go back a few posts. Supposedly going to be at the end of this week and deciding to name between 20-25 regional sites for 16 actual locations giving them some wiggle room.

Championship teams don't take the night off against Stetson. We don't have a great hitting team, if we did Stetsons staff doesn't drop a 3 hitter on us. PERIOD. I see Riviera had another error last night. I guess Sully is just determined that this guy is gonna be a golden glover at SS. His footwork is freaking horrible and he gets played.

Carrion seems like the better SS option, while playing Riv at 2nd.

No brainer. Recruiting promises sometimes don't line up with reality
Just about every D1 college kid played SS in HS. So what. That's where the best athletes are usually, there and CF. Fact of business is with the exception of CF we are weakest up the middle defensively including catcher..that's ass backwards as to how it should be. Wanna know why your defense is abysmal? There is you answer. If I know that Sully has to know it, and yet? And honestly, I'm not sure that Riviera wouldn't be better at 3rd and Colby at 2nd.

Gator baseball is killing me so instead of going to games, watching on TV, listening on radio or internet or following live stats, everytime I want to watch REAL Gator baseball I am going to open Youtube and watch David Eckstein highlights.

20 regional sites were selected for 16 spots starting in June, of which we were one. I am guessing the actual 16 will be named on selection day. Just means they need to keep winning so that a Top 8 seed is possible.

That school in athens is capable and we don't need to take them lightly. Let's hope the change in pitching rotation will give the Gators the spark they need. Right FFoley, it's doable if we play solid and hit better than that pitiful exhibition in Deland earlier in the week,

Good guys win 4-3.
Moving Leftwich to closer appears to be a brilliant move. He is on fire right now.

Great win for the Gators last night. Stellar pitching as the Gators get 16 strikeouts and only walk 2. Genius coaching by Sully with the hit and run and game winning RBI by the much maligned Rivera to win again with small ball 4-3.

I loved Eckstein on my Halos. Unfortunately, they were never the same once he was gone.

A Gator Great!! Winning a world series in Anaheim and another in St Louis. According to baseball 'experts' he was the most unlikely world series mvp ever. He was never satisfied with success ~ always striving for perfection.

Gators win the series tonight against the leg humpers 9-2

He’s also one of very few who have won a WS in both the American and National Leagues.

I guess we won or else there would be 15 posts about how fundamentally terrible this team is and how bad Sully's coaching was. Great dominate win by the Gators over a hated rival UGA 9-2. Gators actually used the long ball for the first time in awhile and hit 4 HRs. The much maligned and hated Rivera was 2/3 with 4 RBIs while the equally hated Fabian became just the 5th player in UF history to hit 20 HRs in a season as he left the yard twice. Barco stellar once again on the mound only allowing 2 ER with only 2 walks and 8 SOs. Gators with their 8th consecutive home series win and the Gators now 17-2 in their last 19 home games. Gators are now 15-4 over their last 19 games when it looked like they were left for dead by many of us here. Gators now 35-15 and looking towards getting a top seed/region. Go Gators!!

Against one of the worst pitching staffs in the SEC, Yeah. Rivera had a good game a bat and if he is going to start as a freshman he needs to have them more often. Acton and Calileau in many ways have saved us along with Jack embracing the closer role. We hit dingers and we win. Sure.. hit four and unless they are all solos you should win. Consensus no. 1 damn near unanimous and we are struggling with get a national seed...keep that in mind....shyting the bed as I type right now.
