Did you just quote yourself?

Yep. Twice, the same poster comes in and starts a thread (then refreshes his old thread) "Clemson 'bout to lose fellas!! (at halftime)....only to find out that one of the most irrelevant things in life is the score of a football game at halftime.

Like we care..

They play UGA week 1. If the starter goes down, the 3rd guy (who is now the back up) is a 3-star who probably shouldn't be on their roster. I'd like to see Clemson roll UGA's ass.

Their QB signee in this class is a high level baseball prospect, if he goes in the top 2 rounds he likely goes pro...so they'd need somebody.

I'd like to see Clemson roll UGA's ass.

I expect better hatred from you.

I want Clemson to score so often they are only able to get the official count in week three and for the sake of time express it as a 10 power.
I want Clemson to burn their crops, their homes, their school and even the couches in their front yards.
And when that is done, I want us to trick North Korea into nuking that campus so hard that the surviving graduate students can finish the required number of coloring books at night because they glow in the dark.

And if Georgia ever plays FSU, you root for catastrophic ground collapse. I need better from you, especially now that you're retired and can devote your full energy to this.

This is an interesting read about Clemson shutting down their men's track & CC teams - and the team hiring lawyers to fight it....and Clemson reinstating the programs. The woman & men's teams both accused the university of discrimination, pointing out how football players get treated vs. other programs....and pointing out how football players somehow manage to all drive Chargers & Challengers, and they all seem to have scooters when other athletes can't afford these things:

Title IX: Clemson Track Athlete Lawyers Describe Settlement Hardball – Sportico.com

Harleigh White, a senior triple jumper studying to be a nurse, was one of the track athletes who brought to the lawyers’ attention the vehicles football players were driving.

“I have seen many athletes who came in with me,” White said, “some who came in with no cars, and within a few weeks they had a brand new [Dodge] Charger or Challenger—one of those two—and it is still happening. I have a friend [who played football] who had a nice little Nissan Altima and a few weeks later had a Charger.”

So the track athletes want cars too?

That’s the only possible outcome since the impotent NCAA would never bother to investigate.
The cost of hundreds of cars each year is going to hinder their plans for a fourth renovation of their football facilities.

Did you read the article? Clemson literally shut down the men's T&F and CC teams due to financial restraints (claiming they didn't have the money to field those teams), which everyone knows is a joke. T&F and CC share the total scholarships = 12.6 total. Most schools give CC 2 or 3 to split among the entire team, the remaining 9.6 go to the T&F teams to split up among the entire team (rarely, rarely does a T&F athlete get a full scholarship). This is similar w/ baseball. Anyhow, the woman's team joined w/ the closed down men's program to hire lawyers to say they were treated unfairly, and they used Title IX as an excuse - both teams share coaches, so they said it impacted them too. We can joke about the cars issue, but the T&F athletes were simply asking to keep their program intact - and saying that the football players were treated much better than them (and personally, I think they should be, as they are the bread winners). Anyhow, it was a good read....and the football program/AD's office got thrown under the bus by the lowly T&F athletes.

What was most interesting to me is that the Clemson lawyers thought (and probably rightly so) that they'd win against the men, but were concerned they would lose to the wahmins. Thankfully in this case the wahmins decided not to take the potential windfall of cash and prizes they would have gained by selling the men down the river. Just another example that equal protection under the law ain't so equal as it seems.

As long as these P5 programs keep spending lavishly on football & basketball, I think these non-revenue sports will be safe. There's no way to justify the spending (under Title IX) that most of these programs put into football/basketball.

Interestingly, Jim McElwain's new school, Central Michigan (a G5) school did the same thing a couple of years ago (since he's been there). They had to petition the NCAA to remain a D1 program - because they fell below the minimum number of men's programs needed to be considered D1 - they dropped men's T&F, but sill have a men's CC team and have a total of 5 men's programs: football, baseball, basketball, CC, & wrestling - pretty sad that a D1 program doesn't offer more men's sports.
