WTF happened to the team that opened 16-0 last season and then brought almost everyone back for 2021? I'm totally F'ing flummoxed by this goofy schytt. Talk about laying an egg.

Now that ARK has locked up the #1 seed in the SEC tourney (meaningless to them) and probably the #1 overall national seed, perhaps they will just play the guys who never play today out of feeling sorry for us. ARK has a minimum of 2 games to play in the SEC tourney (again meaningless) and since we must play in the single elimination round on Tuesday, maybe they will try try and give us the game. We need wins just to be a regional host now. Top 8 has been

Our K pct is just a tad under our BA. NOT GOOD. If you combine that with our middle of the road pitching and dead last fielding pct, then you get a team thats middle of the road, which is exactly where we are. So...what's to make of it? To me, talent may not as great as we've been told..mostly by talking heads in the booth. Got some work to do on recruiting trail and in the current dugout. Oh...and maybe learn a change up. Everybody throw 2's, 4's and sliders which seems to be Sully's porn flavor but a great change up and a great 2 seam to lefties is a very powerful 1-2 punch. Right now we don't do so well with lefties in tight spots and thats probably why. Throwing sliders as a righty to a lefty is VERY dangerous..you miss up and it's gone..kinda like the one Jack threw last night that got bukakied over the R field wall.
Everything about this team revolves around power. Power pitching, power hitting and....well... a coach that likes to show off his biceps..fine. What we don't do is play good D, put balls in play when they need to be put in play and cannot steal a bag for shyt. And I don't mean playing "small ball" whatever the hell that means, it's called having a complete game. I know that Kopp kid is a great reliever but my god our last 6 AB's were just six guys coming to the plate with their azz filled with vasoline an accepting defeat. Fabian may have hurt himself horribly this weekend with his performance...........Trask like.

AGREED!! It is just not good baseball. I have been saying the same thing since Sully was hired but he had enough talent to win until now.

Thru 5 innings ARK leads 2-1. ARK has thrown 3 pitchers that by their standards are considered awful mid week pitchers and we still can't scratch. They are also resting a few regulars. We swing at more pitches out of the strike zone and watch more pitches over the heart of the plate than any team I have seen, Not sure how it will end up but I thank ARK for trying to let us win today.

Well we really showed improvement today as we only struck out ELEVEN (11) times against 7, count them SEVEN of ARK's Junior Varsity pitchers. A game that ARK could not have cared less about and we got white washed. You know I know ARK is better by a mile but at some point during the season, Sully after crediting the opponent should have stood up and said "This shyt is going to change. If we have to practice hitting the ball off of a stationary tee, then that is what we will do. If we have to do defensive drills for 10 straight entire practices, that is what we will do. If we have to have the pitching machine throw 10,000 consecutive pitches out of the strike zone to get these guys to stop swing at shyt 2 feet off the plate, we will do it." I don't remember Sully once stepping up and saying he was accountable and he was going to do whatever it took to get it righted. That has to be one of the most disappointing things besides the horrendous play and the lack of improvement of almost everyone from last year to this year.

I'll say it. I don't care if sully has won a natty. He's a shtty coach. The best team he ever fielded still couldn't hit for sht. His ceiling is good defense and pitching with crap for offense. I'm tired of watching this team whiff at garbage a foot off the plate and stare at balls right down the pipe. I'm tired of watching good pitch after good pitch go by while we intentionally take and are 0-2 before the batter even has a chance to get the pitchers timing down. Sully's offensive philosophy is akin to intentionally waiting till last call, then trying to bag a 5 after watching two 8's walk right past you.
I literally couldn't care less if he were canned tomorrow. It's ugly baseball even at its best.

You just said it 10x better than I ever could. He’s a bad in game coach. It’s either all about pitching or HRs. Nothing more. I’ve been saying this for years. Good news is Puk will be rested and ready, amirite @oxrageous ?

Sully is not just a bad in-game coach. He worships at the altar of power hitting and power pitching. The fact that during his tenure his teams almost never bunt, steal, hit & run, etc., and the fact that whenever they do attempt it, they fail miserably 99% of the time. All of this tells us that he does not teach, use, believe in or otherwise even acknowledge their importance in the game of baseball. Sully is a recruiter but after watching his teams in person since he took the job, in my opinion he is a bad coach and worse teacher.
