They getting a new facility before the football team as well?
Last time I was in Gainesville, I saw steel framing going up for the football facility. Can't comment on the pace of progress, but it appears they're moving forward.

So the deal went through for Foley's brother buying that steel framing company.?

A big congratulations goes out to our Gator tennis stars.
Hope they get a pep rally-type welcome.

NCAA finals are always at the USTA center in Orlando, they had a big crowd last night. Believe it or not, college tennis is a free for all noise wise for the crowd the entire time, there is no "quiet" when people are serving/in play. It's a lot more fun than people think. It got so loud last night that the Gator crowd was told to tone it down and the Baylor Coach was kinda whiney about it... of course he wasn't whining early on when things were going Baylor's way...

I am really happy for all those involved, but will this help football recruiting in any way? I know that when Football is REALLY good at schools, it brings about interest in the Univ. in total. I was just curious if the inverse is true?

Nah, it may sway a person here or there if they follow the sport and there's a dynasty. And then you have the Duke's of the world where Basketball is the driving force, but football is that runaway freight train at any large school.

Thanks, but I was just being facetious. It has been so long since we sniffed a real championship I thought I would try to get us help any way i could.

Congrats to the tennis team. I’m always happy to see the Gators win championships, especially national championships.

Interesting that their last 3 wins were against Texas teams: A&M, UT & Baylor.

At least you're starting to acknowledge how this actually works! ;)

And how does this work? I'm old school. When I was at UF it was Football. They had just opened the O Dome. Baseball was in shambles. We cared about Football. I couldn't get a seat in the Student Section...It was PACKED.

It's always great to win another National title. The way this one happened was awesome because the coach's son clinched the winning point to win it all.
