I don’t know how anyone can ever judge another man for making as much as he can in his profession. If they’re willing to pay him significantly more and we’re not, then he should leave. Foolish not to.
Just Kidding! I've been waiting to make that crack for a while.

Not looking good so far today. Some bad walks by sproat. Tennessees pitcher, meanwhile, is giving no free passes or anything easy to hit. Tennessee is just a good team this year. Hope that we don't have to play them or any other SEC team if we make it through regionals.

I actually thought Sproat was not so bad considering. He showed an ability to throw strikes and was not totally wild and did not hit anyone. Tinerc is a good hitting team so I was pleased that he was not totally awful He just needs to be able to elevate his fastball with control when he has 2 strikes on a hitter. But all in all a decent showing considering we need more arms.

I agree

Sproat pitched fairly well and got absolutely no support from his teammates.

Softball team didn’t score a run in two games and the baseball team seems to be heading in the same direction

Time for a change, will be a hero amongst LSU fans, atmosphere is not even close to UF on gameday (LSU unbelievable baseball
atmosphere)

I hope he stays but I don’t see how he can pass this time around. That being said, the corndogs are probably 30% wanting Sully, 70% wanting UT coach.

Regardless of how the masses feel about Sully, the numbers are the numbers regardless of whether people like what they see daily or not.

With that said, there is always thoughts like: Don't be the guy who follows the GUY, but follow the guy who followed the GUY. Skip Bertman built LSU baseball and is and always will be LSU baseball. Smoke Lavall followed Bertman. Did not go as planned, so in came Manari. By numbers, he did pretty darn good, has numbers so in the long run that is what most people care about.

UF baseball had ups, downs and sideways with both Joe Arnold and Pat McMahon, but on paper Sully made it an every year contender for the most part, very similar to Manieri at LSU. So he gets paid and has a brand new Park.

LSU has something only a few college baseball teams have: Real consistent baseball fans. UF is NOT one of them, sad but true. I would never tell a guy to turn down getting paid and on the surface with objective eyes, all things considered, LSU is a better baseball gig, but at LSU whoever the coach, that coach will never be "Skip Bertman". Sully could have that same thing at UF over time for the 5 or so fans who care about that thing.

Remember how many coaches trudged thru T'Town only to hear "He's no Bryant" Quite a few until Saban.

True for the most part. Sully has won through recruiting some great players, but none of his teams have been able to consistently lay down a sacrifice bunt or hit and run. First basemen have never been taught how to play the position correctly and third basemen have been sieves with few exceptions due to a lack of adequate coaching. But, as you pointed out his wins are the bottom line regardless of whether his players learn how to play the game.
