Do you consider 1 national championship and 2 sec championships in 4 years modest success? If we had that in football, would you want the coach fired?

Can you post a few active coaching resume's that you think are more than moderately successful in college baseball so we can compare?

He also has 5 SEC championships in the last 11 years (We had ONE between 1998 and Sullivans first SECC in 2010) in the conference that is always the toughest or 2nd toughest

-and the most CWS appearances of any current active coach (7). Before Sullivan we had 5 total.

Resumes please

EDIT: Everything I just said but directed towards Durty. Not DGD.
i fart in your general direction

He sure didn’t say “I’m not going anywhere!”.

Why would he say that when nothing (as far as anyone knows) has been discussed or brought up? Sure would look dumb if he says NO only to find out someone wanted to drop 2.5M per in his lap.

So the projection chart got 15 of the 16 host sites correct. They only missed on Gonzaga hosting and it went to USCe. But interesting in the bracket projections above, USCe was predicted as a 3rd seed, so it will interesting if they are a #2 and playing at home and who gets the top seed there?

It was a guarantee that scrtoUM was going to be the #2 in our regional. We have played some very strange games with them in the past regionals. Perhaps South Alabama will rise up and beat scrotUM in game 1? Since all of our pitchers will have had plenty of rest any chance Sully does not go with Mace in Game 1? I say no but some of the Top seeds in Regional play do not throw their #1 starter against the #4 seed. We probably can't take that chance.

I agree that Sully probably can’t afford to take that chance given our inconsistent bats.

UF must approach every game like an elimination game.

I would like to see Sully pitch by committee in game 1. Each pitcher going 2 innings, 3 max to save the best starters for the remaining games. That is provided we can score double digit runs to keep a safe buffer. If the cane syrups win their first game we may have to beat them twice. If Mace starts the first game against USF, we will have to pitch by committee to win the final game of the regional.

If our entire staff was fresh and rested and we had to win one game against a good opponent, would you go with Mace?

We get the honor of going to Austin and getting it pushed in deep by the Horns if we survive the regional.

All things considered I would not. I would go with Barco right now. I don;t think Mace has been as good as hoped this year. I don;t think he has been terrible, but he seems to not have many easy innings. Now he has been good at working out of jams, but you don;t make a living doing that often.

As far as the seedings go I think it was about right. We were projected 13 or 14 so we are in line. The numbers might look a little better, but if you watched the product on the field I am not sure we are Top 16, so I will take it.

No changes to the rotation. Mace starting against USF on Friday, as we all knew.

Barco goes against UM and we have to get beat twice IF all works out. I think I would have same rotation to be honest. Wont matter who’s pitching, this will be up to the bats to get through regional
