We're a gymnastics school now thanks to the Smiling Starkville Dork.

Wow. Stricklin and the UAA clearly have their heads buried. Neither coach deserved an extension much less pay raises.

The media has defended White. I keep hearing about how wonderful he did last season due to all the circumstances he had to deal with. I disagree but I think if you polled all of Gator Nation I’d be in the minority. So many buy whatever the media sells them.

Outside of the media, I don't know anyone in Gator Nation who likes Mike White. Certainly don't see anyone on fb/Twitter voicing support for the guy...and the data analytics fans skewer him on a routine basis.

Post-Donovan, Gator basketball was an established program. If not a traditional blueblood, at least one that was now.

In the Mike White era, we've regressed in just about every conceivable manner; and yes, the fans notice since we watch every game.

The Gainesville media wont' turn on him until they are allowed to, they don't want to lose access.

Well, I don’t do Facebook or Twitter so I have no idea other than actually speaking with other Gators and what I read here. I know this place is much more critical than than the average fan. I’m just telling you what I hear in person, on the radio and in print.

As a big time Gators pumper, even I don't see how in the world he gets an extension. He has done nothing to warrant such a thing. Will we be further mired in mediocrity? When you think mediocrity do you think how we currently sit or more like 17-15 yearly records and 1 NCAA Tourney every 5 years? Below average is losing records like 14-17 every year and terrible is 6-20 records every year. We haven't reached that quite yet. Mediocrity in baseball is you don't even sniff the CWS except maybe 1 in 10 years. Mediocrity in football is a little different though as that is considered 6-6 or 7-5 every year and Sun Bowl status while bringing in no money for the program. Its a great debate and we all have different versions of it all. Obviously we need an overhaul of the athletic department. We should be top tier and top 5 in the top 3 sports of Football, basketball, and baseball. We should mimic the Bama plan of spending money and shady back alley deals for recruits. As fans we fire our coaches after darn near every loss and expect to win every game big and be in the conversation of Chips every year. Its a must for our prestigious university and we are entitled to be the very best again.
