I agree with most of what you said, but I'm not a huge fan of the all orange or even the orange/white combo.F Clemson and whoever thinks Clemson owns orange is a fuggin twatwaffle. Florida grows oranges. Orange belongs to Florida and personally, I love the all orange unis. In fact, I love when we wear all one color of all our colors...white tops/bottoms, blue tops/bottoms and orange tops/bottoms. I hate when we wear a combo of orange and blue tops and bottoms.
Blue helmets...whatever, looks fine to me. High school kids like that stuff and lazy Dan needs all the help he can get.
I dont get the hate for orange. Its one of our colors. We shout it on a side of our stadium. When we list our colors we always list it first. Its symbolic to our state more than blue. But for some reason a lot of gator fans don't like orange. Boggles my mind.

I don't mind if not all orange.
As Donk stated...Charlie Pell brought the Orange from Clemson in the early 80s...I graduated in 82...everything was Orange. Stands/fans were blinding.

And it was awesome. Charlie Pell turned the program around too! I was in those stands then and loved going from crap to good in a such a short amount of time. Yes, we got caught cheating but we didnt do anything that the other programs were doing...Pell just got us going.
Our Classic look
That is our classic look.
Not the Clemson wannabe look brought to us by the fired Clemson coach. I guess you have to feel sorry for the 80s era Gators though.
We're blessed to have the best colors in the land and it's pretty hard to screw up the basic combo of orange, blue, and white. Not that it hadn't been done, of course, but for the most part, the changes have been a good blend of history and modern elements.
Classic Gators will always be blue top, white pants, and an orange script Gator helmet or the white F helmet we've done a few times. It's iconic and it just works.
Away white, blue pants, orange script helmet. Also classic.
I don't mind on occasion the all-orange or the orange top, white pants, orange helmet...because it too has its part in Gator lore (Emmitt Smith and the Bell years come to mind)--and **** Clemson, they don't own the color orange and we aren't copying their look.
The blue matte script Gator helmet from this past year was tastefully done and I liked the look. Heck, even the blue F we did vs Mizzou wasn't bad. I didn't like it as much as I did the white F helmets vs Auburn, but it still looked better than I thought when watching live on tv.
About the only helmet I *don't* like was the white script Gator with orange top and white pants. Didn't ever feel right and brings back horrible memories of the Sharkfvkcer's years. I think the white F helmet with orange top and white bottoms would be a sharp look though.
I must agree on the colors...However as mentioned by SOFLA...Why are we now "Washing Out" the color? Look at the Blue in the 90's...That color pops.
According to several people here, it's about heat, and apparently the lighter colors make the jerseys cooler.
Of course, I guess it's possible we could avoid midday kickoffs in September, or even just push the season start date back by 3 weeks, so that most games are played in cooler weather and hurricane disruption isn't an annual issue. But that seems too obvious. Everyone knows the Outback Bowl participants need at least 4 weeks of prep time for that matchup.
