FIRE MIKE WHITE!

Hard to do with his extension. I would prefer that his boss take action to improve him, but that would take a boss who knew how to do that and cared enough to do so.

While I place academics first, a close second is doing your job correctly which will result in good play and players who will win!

All-time series Florida leads, 43–28* (1 game vacated)
Largest victory Florida, 96–61 (1999)
Longest win streak Florida, 7 (1965–1968); Florida State, 7 (2014-present)

We have beaten them 15 more times than they beat us. Bottom line? Two national titles to A big fckkkk ZERO.
as for MW's cock I will let you worry about that..........since you brought it up.
You brought it up and are slurping on it. You got any thing recent...like since the Mike White era? BTW that longest win streak......Civil rights bill hadn't been passed yet. GTFOH!!!

Colin Castleton Announces Return to Florida Gators

Can't imagine anyone is surprised by this. Not sure he is quite or will ever be NBA material.

He was by far our best player last year. So glad he is coming back. Dude has some fire on the court. Team might actually be watchable this season.

Is Mike still the coach? I OBJECT! Sustained. :lmao2: I root for the players, but they are getting a disservice being "led" by a wannabe AD "acting" as a HC.

Couldn't agree more; unfortunately, we can't get rid of him. Maybe, he'll take an AD job somewhere soon and leave the coaching to someone with more BasketBall Savvy. Without Castleton, I was on the verge of wanting to skip the season entirely... And I attended every Don Devoe game when I was student, so I know crappy, enthusiasm-killing basketball when I see it. I'm stunned that Mike White gets the players that he does. Must be something there.

Team is going to have plenty of talent. Castleton is almost certainly coming back since he's not getting any interest from the NBA. Supposedly like most bigs in today's game, he has been working on his 3 point shooting so will be able to stretch the defense. Appleby has another year of experience and will be one of the more experienced PG in the league. Hopefully he has worked at keeping his poise in crunch time. The Ruskie had flashes last year and is definitely a better shooter than his percentage reflected last year. Duruji brings back rebounding and athleticism. Not much of an offensive threat but we should have plenty of that on the roster from the transfers. Lane? who the hell knows but he's a body.

Yeah, we don't know much about the transfer guys other than they were a helluva lot more productive than the guys who transferred out, so looks like a significant talent upgrade across the board. Can they quickly form into a cohesive unit? Hard to say and with White Mike in charge I don't have a lot of confidence so may take the first 3rd of the season or so before we really know what we have.

Losing Mann was big but fully expected and the lone recruit coming in looks like a stud. He's no Chris Walker. Reeves can do everything and will make an immediate impact even if it's mostly defending, rebounding and hitting spot up 3's at first. Plus he seems like a great kid, good student, solid family. I'm very excited about this kid being a Gator. Lets hope White doesn't retard his development right up until the time he transfers.

KJ? Probably not but it hasn't been ruled out yet so it's still a possibility.

Like usual, and maybe even more than the last few years, lack of talent on the roster isn't going to be White's problem. Is this the year he finally gets production and cohesiveness out of that talent ? Feels a lot like fool me once shame on you, fool me 6 times, wtf!?

:exactly:

Me too.

As much as it pains me sometimes, I root for the players and for the program. Every year I hope things will change with White but …..you know the rest

No surprise. It may not have been the only move to make…but it was the right one.

Can’t wait to see this group on the court.

Should have a deeper team. Comes downnto coaching and how they play together. We have some very talented players

But as in many cases having talent on a team sport is not enough. They must learn how to play together, which takes time, effort and coaching. Only one being effort won't get us the results we desire.

If Castleton can be a stretch 5 and hit a 3 periodically that might make this team interesting to watch. But, I will hold out.

Isn’t it way too early to be talking about hoops, especially since our team sucks so badly? Season doesn’t begin for 4+ months.

Let’s save our vitriol at this time where it’s best directed…towards Mullen & Grantham.

It is never too early to hate on Mike White. I'll have plenty of hate for Choker and Vacation Dan.

Has there ever been an era in gator sports history where the administration coveted underachievers like they do now?

I had forgotten about half of these guys.
Predicts three new transfers to start, along with previous transfers Appleby and Castleton.
CCs going to get a lot of PT this year.
Lots of new guys for us to learn about. Looks like potentially a very athletic and exciting group.

By the way, did I miss it, or did this guy also forget about Jit just like I did in my previous post? LOL hard to overlook an object that big, but I guess we all have a hard time taking seriously a guy who can't back away from the buffet table.
