Jeff B. is currently worth ~208.3Billion dollars.

There are 7.8Billion people living in the entire world.

Jeff could give every living human being $100,000,000,000 (that is $1Billion each) and he would still have over $200,000,000,000.

Hmmmm……I believe this is what is referred to as “Alabama math.”

Yeah, yeah, I just added two extra 0's... You got the point regardless. :bart:
You're still way off. ("A couple of zeroes" :bwahaha:)

Basically, he could give everyone $26. He'd still be worth $5.5B at that point. I think the air in Hawaii has affected your brain. ($208.3B [Bezos' net worth] / 7.8B [# of people on Earth) = $26.705; .705 X 7.8B = $5.5B)

And the OPs math is the reason non-engineering majors should be locked in their homes and fed through the mail slot. And by engineering majors I mean those folks who can use scientific notation, logarithmic approximations, and solve 5th order differential equations without resorting to calculators. Of course that probably excludes anyone that has graduated since 1975.

You know that's a meme floating around which makes fun of how bad millennials are at math, right?

Fifth order DEs? Really?
Yep. Actually it was a quote from Robert Heinlein. I haven't opened an advanced math book since 1973. I do not count business statistics as advanced math, just sayin'. I did, however, have a year of Differential Equations, a quarter of Laplace Transforms, 3 full years of Calculus, two quarters of numerical methods, and two quarters of statistics with calculus (for engineers). Passed all of them without the aid of electronic devices. (Although the DE sequence was actually two quarters if everything went well, you know.) I used to have my Dietzgen Log-Log Duplex Decitriq slide rule, made of bamboo with ivory covers, framed and mounted in my office with a plaque saying "In case of power failure, break glass." An number of the young engineers who worked with me didnt know what the wood thing was.

:headslap: All I can do at this point is ask for forgiveness from you guys. I was at work last night when I posted that and had been up for over 24 hours and working most of that. Mental fatigue is real...

Can someone please delete this thread now? :banghead:

If the CRT bunch hadn’t declared Math to be racist, the thread could be easily deleted. Instead, I foresee many other examples of “Bama Math” being brought to the forefront…

Look, you’re still somewhat new to this board and don’t know all the particular details. But just a heads up, there’s absolutely no need to ask for forgiveness. It was already granted well before then.

We will, however, mock the hell out of you. You should probably know that.

I've been a member of a few Gator message boards ever since 2008, most of which were "private" boards that I was invited to join. Of course, I would never reveal to you guys that CDGator was primarily the one who invited me. I also would never outright tell you that I have been widely accepted on these boards by such members as BNA, jdh, and 46. But I will assure you, I have always been subjected to the harassments and mocking that came with joining all those boards.
