So now I don’t have to pay attention to the Jags? I really thought he’d fill a short yardage package need. Hell, even keeping the spotlight off the tranny would have been worthwhile reason enough to keep him.

They don’t get it. Tebow is worth a good 10 -20k seats

He was good for at least several "must have" first downs and scores.

And for a bargain.

Urban shows his true colors...remember he put up with Aaron Hernandez?

Anyone else notice NoVaGator hasn’t been since his post at 6:18 last night. I think he really did go ask his grandmother.
Well, now that Tim is no longer a Jag, she said she is interested.
Haters are trying to spread the rumor that when told of his release, Tim broke down and cried.

The problem is Tim should have gone in competing for the third string quarterback job and situational short yardage goal line opportunities and that's it. This b******* at tight end was a waste . Who came up with that Robbie or that stupid agent he used to have? Man I think of what Tim's football career could have been. Even just as a backup QB. A backup quarterback can play 10 or 15 years and make 50 to 100 million and have a nice life and not get his brains beat in.

Of course Urban could put Tim on the practice squad have him learn the playbook as quarterback and let him be the third string quarterback or situational short yardage back. But the talking heads on TV I despise so much would go crazy if that happened.

It is super frustrating that Tim never got to play real football for his hometown team.

But I'm also happy Tim is away from this sport and SJW jocks I despise. I don't plan to watch football on the NFL level for a variety of reasons. Now Tebow can move on and do more important things with his life. Good luck to Tim. Thanks for many great memories.

What about Urban and GOAT talent wise Aaron Rodgers?

If I could blame Urban I would NOLA but I can't. Maybe the only thing would have been to talk to him out of the tight end position and to start off as competing for the third string quarterback change of pace situational quarterback or short distance specialist position.

The owner will never get it like you pointed out Tim would have been great in situations and just as a backup you're talking 10 to 20,000 seats a home game whether he's playing or not. Crazy. Even crazier was that this whole thing got botched 9 years ago or whenever it was when Tim should have been a Jag instead we had to suffer through Chad Henne and Blaine Gabbert two stiffs without a clutch gene without a winning mentality. Of course Wayne Weaver is to blame as well before he sold the team he should have brought Tebow in but chickened out.

I'm just super sad for Tebow and for any of his dieHard fans like us here that watch TV sports programming the talking heads and all of that they will have a field day with this they probably already have. I rarely waste my time with these stooges anymore they're so obvious. I am so glad Kwame Brown even though he was an underachiever in the NBA has come out hard on social media blasting people like Stephen a Smith and Skip Bayless. Lol. It's been a long time coming for some of these talking head race baiting talking heads to get there come uppance.

Anyone else see the only reason to root for the Jags just get cut, and now kind of looking forward to Urb's reaction to getting his shlt pushed in weekly?
You going to throw a fit with every win this season, jilted lover? They are making the playoffs. If they don't, I'm banning you for life.

I'd guess the Jags continue to sell his jersey.
Folks who bought Tim Tebow jerseys are out of luck, despite “jersey assurance”

When the Jaguars signed Tim Tebow, his jersey instantly went on sale — and it immediately became the hottest selling jersey in the NFL.

Now that the Jaguars have cut Tebow, those folks who bought the jersey are left holding the bag. Or, more specifically, a jersey that was actually ever worn by the player in one meaningless preseason game, the highlight of which was a half-hearted block followed by an inadvertent helmet in the stomach of a teammate.

Although the league, through Fanatics, provides “jersey assurance,” the fine print becomes very important in situations like this. The program applies to trades only; there’s no protection if the player is cut or retires.

Tebow has been cut. Given that he’s been released in the initial wave of reductions from 90 to 85, he presumably won’t resurface on the practice squad. And thus it appears to be over for Tebow in Jacksonville, weeks before it ever technically started.

It’s hard to feel bad, frankly, for anyone who rolled the dice on a Tebow jersey. There was always a good chance that the tight end experiment would go the way of Peter Brady’s volcano (dated, but applicable).

And of all the people who will be feeling very little sympathy for those who bought the Tebow jersey, the least will be felt by Raiders fans who bought an Antonio Brown jersey in 2019.

I love me some Tebow.
But holly **** that was pitiful. I was expecting him to slobber knock the hell out of somebody not wiff and miss then fall on his ass.
Time for him to get back in the broadcast booth and stay there.

The only “jersey assurance” there is,
and has ever been, is that if you’re over the age of 17 and wearing an NFL jersey, you’re almost assuredly a toolbag.

It's hard to imagine these things coming in any sizes other than whatever OshKosh B'gosh runs in. If you're a red-blooded American male, you'll find your search for a sexual partner completely elusive if you're sporting a Tim Tebow jersey.

Did you ever wonder why you're universally despised on this board? Just curious.
This is just so typical of you - you look at this board and think you're the universe. Frankly, I suspect most of the people here aren't sufficiently emotionally invested in other members to despise, or have feelings at all, about them. That's just you, who think your personal fiefdom should come with obsequious fealty. There is little about you other than your constant threats to ban people who don't pretend they love you that puts you in a position to tell anybody how other people feel.
