Interesting. According to Meyer, the reason Tim was cut was because a backup tight end needs to be able to contribute on special teams, and he couldn't tackle:

"Two of the special teams phases are tackling and if you've never tackled [it's not easy to do]," Meyer said. "Every off day we'll have a two to three hour meeting about roster management. We expect to be very good in special teams. Tight end position is one of those, and tailback -- if he can't contribute on special teams that's a tough go."

Was watching the Jags game the other night and saw a play where a TE (I think) flashed open across the middle with a head of steam and room to run. QB overthrew the route. But I closed my eyes and imagined Tim getting that pass and the pain and havoc that would have followed. That alone would have sealed the deal and he would still be playing.

Probably for the best now he can concentrate on his personal life and his charities.

Clean up an NFL locker room? Really?

It would take a locker room full of Tim Tebow’s to accomplish this.
He did it in Denver in two years. Of course he was playing in his second year and won games and that helped. Tim also helped change the loser me first culture in Denver.
