Terrible…just terrible!

Im torn on this. Because I know he is young and dumb, and I think about me when I was that old and I was pretty dumb. But I wasnt that dumb. I feel kinda bad because the only thing I think about when I see this twat is dreaming of watching him get destroyed by a DE. Or just fizzling out to be a nothing in college.

DE from Ohio St got a nice NIL deal. I don’t see us competing.

Edit. Just seen it posted above. I’m a moron.

I'm sure its been repeated ad nauseum here but I don't know about all this. While I agree things had to change I think there's some inevitable consequences this may have.

We have some examples to pull from namely pro sports and hip hop culture. My comparison to hip hop culture is very young men from the same backgrounds most of the time being given large sums of money.

My future predictions are more players being charged for gun offenses (for safety), more robberies at parties, clubs, etc. Greater player rifts, and a decrease in the level of play of the top tier conference with a surge in play at the lower conferences.

I could be wrong and I am willing to provde more defense for each prediction above but just wanted to keep it short. I hope it all works out well but I would hate to see some young talented football player killed over a chain or a car.

Meanwhile in Gainesville...
Emory Jones will be at the Student Union, during lunch M-W-F, to sign autographs for 50 cents each.

I’m gonna laugh when he transfers

I was just coming in to this thread to post the same thing regarding his $1.4 million deal. It seems like a small number of schools are doing a really good job of getting these deals for their top players. Unfortunately, we do not seem to be one of them......

I would imagine the top-tier (5-star and high 4-star) type talent will want to go to the schools that can maximize these contracts, therefore making it even more difficult to draw them away from the Ohio State, Bama, and others tier.

Have there been any major NIL deals for any Gators at this stage? You would think Emory or Elam or someone would cash in a bit. Anthony Richardson is a Gainesville boy that is waiting to take over at QB, you would think that could get him some decent local NIL deals.

It just seems we are allowing this to push our recruiting even further behind. Is the laziness of Mullen's staff to blame here??

I believe this kid is the highest-ranked player ever, combine that with the fact he's the first to have something happen like this, I doubt this becomes the norm. I said this years ago when these tires were being kicked was stuff like this is going to cause a lot of egos to take over and teams to fall apart. When you have players missing obligations to shoot commercials and sign autographs, this will quickly start to impact the rest of the team. Case in point, look at the managerial issues UGA has with all their players that think they are the best, that was all happening before all this.
