I think due to the "controversy" Dan will keep AR15 off the field, maybe allowing him to hand the ball off in extremely late slop time if we are fortunate enough to have any.

Discuss.

Dan Gets AR meaningful snaps before Bama comes to town but it really doesn't matter, Bama gone squash us like a bug , even with AR at QB. Just too big a gap in coaching and in talent level.
Hope 'm wrong.

Mullen isn't going to admit he was wrong, like with Franks. EJ will have to crater completely for a change to happen, likely against Bammer. Plant High likely would play UF tougher Saturday.

Around half, maybe a little less.
It will look a lot like the FAU game.

EJ will still start against Bama.
AR will capitalize on his time in the Bama game and become the unquestionable starter after that.

You're welcome

More than the 2-3 I selected but by no stretch will he play enough for anybody to believe there is a QB controversy nor feel he’s the starter.

Not many teams are on the same level coaching wise, don't Bama have like 7 previous HC including NFL HC on staff? Recruiting wise will never be close Mullen is a few steps up from Mac in terms of recruiting and imo it has nothing to do with facilities it's Mullen.

Something tells me AR won't get much playing time cause Mullen don't want the fans to get to loud about a change. I think he comes in after it's a 35+ lead and Mullen runs the ball with not many Qb options.

AR will play close to half whether EJ plays well or not and deservedly so. He needs the snaps and experience.

I have a feeling that unless EJ5 shyts the bed AR15 won't see the field. I agree with gatorkev, Mullen wants to squash any controversy and also give EJ time/practice against a lesser opponent before facing Bama

He only plays in a blowout. So, maybe a drive or two at the end of the game. To me, the earliest AR15 takes over if at all, is the UT game.

This, when you look at the pedigree of the Bama coaches vs us…lol…. Ex-NFL head coach vs directional school drop outs…..

Mullen will keep EJ in until he is on a roll and about to score. Then he will insert AR. Teaches adversity and momentum killing

AR15 is a package quarterback until EJ goes down with an injury. It’s at that point that Mullen feels justified to do what he knows he should have done all along. To stop being a stubborn dumbass.

I have a feeling that no switch is made unless we are 2-3 going into Vandy. That would mean losses to Kentucky and Tennessee. I don't see that happening, but I know this board and half you guys believe we are finishing 2-10 at this point anyway with Samford going all Georgia Tech to our Cumberland.

Did Dan learn anything from Franks/Trask? No, probably not. So 78 is probably correct.

Mullen knows Grantham is a crap DC. He knows sideways passing nets sideways yards. He knows EJ is too small and not cerebrally gifted enough to maximize his offense. He knows It’s only a matter of time before AR15 becomes a star in this league because legs don’t require reading the field. You simply go fast and jump over people.

It’s the inner voice that holds him back. It’s too soon to turn the ball over to the underclassman. I have to balance his and EJ’s confidence. It’s not all EJ’s fault. The receivers botch plays. We haven’t lost a ballgame yet, so why panic?

In the back of his head it’s this: I’ve got this rare talent who’s a perfect fit for my oddball offense. I gotta find a way to get him in for more plays. I don’t want to send the wrong message about upperclassmen who work hard and wait their turn. God, if only EJ can turn a high ankle.

There’s a reason why SOS got things done. He refrained from thinking and went all action. You produced, you played.

Losses to Tenn and UK very real possibilities, and others I would have said to be wins, prior to our first game. Now all bets off.
