Has the SEC ever been this bad?

Top teams:

Alabama
UGA (Arguably)

Mediocre teams:

Florida
LSU
Texas A&M
Auburn

BAD teams:

South Carolina
Tennessee
Kentucky
Arkansas
Missouri
Mississippi
Mississippi State

SUB-BAD teams:

Vandy

EIGHT out of the 14 teams in the conference are BAD. East Carolina favored over South Carolina, Pitt favored AT Tennessee? This is hideous. WTF happened?

Vanderbilt lost to East Tennessee State by 3 TD's. They may be the worst SEC team in the history of the conference. They needed to finally be booted the hell out.

Discuss.

SEC EAST especially is garbage. If they traded UF for ECU, Coastal Carolina, and a dozen other midmajors then that team would be #2 in the east.

ECU is getting curb stomped by SC.

Pitt won't beat the vols.
What in God's name are you basing this on? Have you seen South Carolina attempt to play football?

You're probably not wrong. Really the only one of those lines that's completely out of the norm is Pitt over the vols. Outside of a few years under Holtz and a few under Spurrier, Usce has never been very good. Vu is always going to be Vu, so the Csu line isn't surprising(the East Tenn score is embarrassing for sure). Miss State is a perennial bottom feeder as well.

This is probably the weakest East we've seen, simply because we're not pulling our weight so far. I'd say 2013-2014 would be the closest competition. If we right our own ship, that will at least add some respectability. But none of those three teams listed above wouldn't have been underdogs against those opponents over the last 3 seasons.

I thought Beamer was supposed to be the next greatest coach in football and have USCe back?

I think we saw last night how some teams are taking advantage of the transfer portal and are going from bad to not so bad in one year. 7 or 8 of Fl. States best players were transfers including the QB from South Florida.
I think the transfer portal will bring the bottom 90 percent of college teams closer together but will probably make teams like Bama even stronger.

UGAy didn’t show shat. Their offense barely made it across the 50yd line for crying out loud.

Jury is still out on both UGA and Clemson. With zero offensive TD's in the game, we have no idea whether their defenses were just that good or the offenses were just that bad.

Still not as bad as the ACC
Clemson's chance of getting into the playoff's took a swift kick in the balls
with that loss to the butt-sniffers. Their one marquee game now in the books as an "L".
The rest of their games are garbage time. Dabo can moan and groan all he wants.
He is stuck in a bad league. At best the rest of the ACC are mid-tier teams.
