Jaydon Hill entered deferred prosecution agreement over felony theft charges
WUFT's Alexander Lugo first reported the news, which broke on Friday.
According to a sworn complaint affidavit filed in the Alachua County court system, Hill was arrested on June 2 outside of his Campus Circle apartment after police had looked into a reported theft nearly a month earlier. He was charged with third-degree felonies for unarmed burglary of an unoccupied conveyance, grand theft larceny of more than $750 and less than $5,000, and fraudulent and illegal use of credit cards.
With the deferred prosecution agreement he signed, Hill can have the felonies dropped from his record if he does 50 hours of community service, reimburses $1,753.43 in stolen funds to Mid-Florida Credit Union, pays for the $200 cost of prosecution and does not violate any federal, state, county or municipal ordinances for a year.
